hello little guppies! we have been working under the sea on a fun new project…it is time to share phase one with you. please join our journey on fish to watch the hatching of our new tinned fish bus!!! it’s part store, part therapy and part party…coming this fall to the greater hudson valley! wanna talk tuna? how about mackerel? (the dog or the fish🐶) there will be seaweed, fish puns, and all of the tins you have come to love from zinnias but on wheels. tell everyone. and put our new number in your phone. yup! the sardine hotline is a real hotline! call or text 24/7 with your tinned fish questions, for recipes, ideas, jokes, or just tell us a story! number is posted on the sardine hotline’s page. gotta go! work to do 🪼🫣🌊😬🐶🐳🍦🐟🍤🦞

I know I know. The road is closed again again and so I must make a post even though sometimes I feel like posting on social media makes me wanna claw at my eyes. The road is closed for an undetermined amount of time. We are now basically at the end of a dead end. Well the detour is easy. If you know the area, you will not find yourself just passing by us. Here we are with the largest selection of preserved fish on earth and our first softshell crabs of the year. Don’t make us be lonely. Regular hours seven days a week and we would love to see you. Myself and the other businesses that find herself on this deserted island right now, actually in the position where we can survive a long-term road closure. Anyway, that’s all for now. Come have crabs.

hi. it’s me. I know sometimes when restaurants close for a brief period of time we assume that they are never going to open again. That is not the case with Zinnias’s dinette. Every March we close for the month of March. We do this because fortunately for everyone everything in the restaurant breaks in March. I have made a deal with the god of the restaurant breaking things that things cannot break until March or late February. Now that everything has broken and everything has been repaired please don’t ask about how it was raining through the ceiling of the kitchen and we had to replace the ceiling and also don’t ask about the ice machine or the mini splits or like seven other things and definitely don’t ask about the double freezer. I’ve breathed through these things and moved on. We shall open tomorrow, April 1 as we always do. I actually cannot fu***ng wait to see all of the humans that I work with as well as all of the humans who are hungry and want to come and eat with us. Let’s make this the best fu***ng year of the weird little restaurant on the main road between two main places that just kind of popped up out of nowhere ever. I love you and I can’t wait to see you and I am not complaining and I am very happy and we got clam strips in today and all the stuff is ready. Come eat with us. also, we probably have the most tinned fish options on earth.

m is for mackerel. and march. it’s been a real in like a lion kinda month. missing you all but knowing our time apart is coming to an end. never did have that big party this march…got busy telling my dogs how important they are to me and trying to drink enough water to stay hydrated 7 days a week for the next 11 months cause those are all the days you can come to zinnias! no crazy changes happening. mostly because there are enough of those without me fu***ng with your world. new tinned fishes are en route. debating doing an april long tinned fish sale. just cause nothing is really on fu***ng sale anymore. anyhow, gonna eat a few more meals and try to take the kayak out this week. see you on the first day that isn’t march. the clam strips with be fresh and ready. 💋💋

hey humans! you really ate us out yesterday!!! thanks for showing up to send us out. we will be closed for every day of march, as we always have been, and always will be. a month with the mantra “in like a lion, out like a lamb” is a month i need to see in person. maybe when we re-open on april 1st i will have fixed the pesky ice machine. becky is going to make the floors shine. this mud has been a lot of a mess. this winter has been brutal, with the temps that made everything a death trap to the storms every weekend but you all just keep showing up, brightening our days! signing off for the month in posts but i got an exciting book that i will be posting lots of stories from! you’ll see…🫣😜reach out in the dms if you have a question, or just want to hang out. i’ll be around, rubbing bellies and finally working on that drywall project i have been putting off…love y’all. sea you in april.
