Oregon Seafoods is a fast-growing seafood processing company located on the beautiful Oregon Coast in Charleston.
The Company: We produce our own branded seafood products as well as produce products under different brand labels for national distribution.

The Position: We’re looking for a Production Manager to grow with our company.
• Primarily Monday though Friday, 7AM to 6PM. Occasional weekend.
• Manage and lead one full shift and be responsible for directing crew working
longer hours.
• Starting pay $16 to $19/ hr depending on qualifications. With future profit sharing.
• No insurance currently offered.
Requirements:
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated successful performance in their current / former position.
• Ability to collaborate with other team members, develop strong relationships, and
maintain a positive attitude.
• Must be able to exercise good judgement and positively influence team decision
making.
• 3+ years production manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years supervisory or leadership experience with direct responsibility for
managing and developing staff; preference will be given to candidates with direct
experience in the food industry.
• Able to speak, read and write English fluently as it pertains to fulfilling job
requirements
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Sanitation Operation
Practices, and HACCP as it is related to food production.
• Complete Better Process School.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Forklift experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
• Standing and walking up to 8 hours.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, use arms, wrists and hands (including
grasping and squeezing) throughout shift.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment.
• Must be available to overtime if needed.
Responsibilities:
• Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations;
planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and
disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies,
and procedures.
• Provides daily production reports and records by completing, compiling, initiating,
sorting, and analyzing production performance; ensure assigned personnel
complete required records accurately.
• Maintains staff by orienting and training employees; developing personal growth
opportunities.
• Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing
variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and
resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing and
following reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to
malfunctions within control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation
within the facility.
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel;
accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising
schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow.
• Maintains quality of products by establishing and enforcing company standards.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating equipment and
techniques.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment by educating and directing
personnel on the use of equipment, control points, and personnel requirements;
implementing change.
• Maintains work relationship with owner and management.
• Resolves personnel problems by investigating issues; identifying solutions;
recommending action.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
