Located at 232 North Peachtree Avenue, it is on the west side of historic downtown Cookeville, near Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Jeff and Tonya Cummings became the new owners in Nov 2014 and have continued to improve the service as well as the food. The restaurant, formerly a residence, was built in 1910. It features hardwood floors, 15' ft ceilings, and 5 dining rooms, three with fireplaces... We have over 20 selections of w**e to include a bar. We also have a patio, when weather permits, that seats 25. We host weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, parties, etc...

If you like good Italian food, old music from the 40's and 50's, and great atmosphere, come see us. Dress is casual and reservations are recommended throughout the week and on the weekends

When you dine with us, we want you to have a dining experience rather than the typical restaurant that turns tables as fast as they can. We serve each course separately, allowing you to relax, drink a glass of w**e and enjoy a conversation with your guest. Typically, you spend an average of a hour for two people, an hour and half for 3 to 6 people. If for some reason you have other plans after you dine with us, just inform your server upon arrival and we can speed the service up. We are able to get you in and out in 30 minutes or so, but that is upon request. When you leave our restaurant, we want you to know what its like to slow down and enjoy each others company and realize how nice and relaxing it can be.

Temporary Closure Update

Unfortunately, it will be a little longer before we are able to resume normal operations. At this time, we are hopeful that we will be able to reopen for regular dinner service on Saturday, August 29th.

For guests who currently have reservations with us on Thursday, August 27th, or Friday, August 28th, our service professionals are reaching out individually to inform you of the extended closure and assist with rescheduling your reservation.

Please note that if your voicemail has not been set up or your mailbox is full, you may not receive our message. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the restaurant by phone or Messenger.

Temporary Closure Notice

Due to maintenance issues with our refrigeration, we will be closed Thursday, August 20th through Wednesday, August 26th.

If you currently have a reservation with us during this time, one of our hostesses will be reaching out today to inform you of the closure and assist with rescheduling your reservation for a future date.

We will also not be accepting any additional reservations or walk-ins for the remainder of today due to limited preparation and to help prevent food waste.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when we reopen next week!

Mauricio's Italian Restaurant in Cookeville, TN is looking for one server/waitress/waiter to join our 15 person strong team. We are located on 232 N. Peachtree Ave. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibilities
Setting the table
Presenting the menu and helping customers select food
Delivering food to tables
Delivering a great customer experience
Qualifications
-Ability to listen and communicate effectively
-Ability to multitask efficiently
-Strong organizational skills
-1 year minimum Experience as a Server, Waitress, or Waiter in a set down full service Restaurant.
