For those of you who asked for an update. Scott is home! It has been a long day. Surgery took longer than expected-3 1/2 hours! The surgeon said the rotator cuff tear was an “interesting tear”. There was also a tear in his bicep tendon. Rotator cuff was repaired by stitches, anchors and mesh. The bicep tendon was released. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. Now the road to recovery begins!

Ever heard the saying “when it rains it pours “? Well we are living it. Unfortunately Scotty D’s will not be able to open for a couple of days this week like Scott was hoping. Over the weekend (Friday through Monday) our main cooler went down and all of the food in that cooler has gone bad.
Again, we are thankful for the time that we were able to serve Cookeville and the surrounding areas and hope to come back again.

Due to staffing issues, Scotty D’s will be closed for the remainder of the day. My husband cannot run a restaurant one handed by himself. Restaurant will be closed for the weekend. If staffing issues can be sorted out, we will open on Tuesday and Wednesday next week for the final days.

Unfortunately Scotty D’s will be closing. Our last day of operation will be Wednesday September 25th. This year has been a tough medical year. Scott had back surgery earlier in the year and now he needs shoulder surgery. For those of you that have come in, you have seen Scott working in a sling because he did not want to close again. Unfortunately this surgery is going to be a minimum of a six month recovery period per the surgeon we met with earlier this week. Once he is well, maybe we will see you again in a different location but one step at a time. We have enjoyed meeting many people of Cookeville and surrounding towns and are coming away with many that we consider friends.
