Made it out for some date night shenanigans with a real hottie. Here’s where the shenans were iganned….

A much smarter and more handsomer food blogger recently mentioned something about Brood & Barley having a great Old Fashioned. He was not wrong. What he didn’t mention was the life-altering meatloaf they have the audacity to serve. We’re gonna have not-so-dry dreams about that glorious plate of loaf of meat and its accompaniments. Absolute perfection🤌🏼. Oh and those Shush Fries are no slouch, either.

After coming back from Delishyland, we made the real short walk back to where it all began. The place we first met, Birdie's Cabaret Theater & Lounge, to see some old friends for a hilarious night of improv. New name, same place, great drinks and vibes. Highly recommend supporting some wonderful local talent if that’s your kinda thing. You know what to do, follow page, check out their events, go see some awesome folks!

Twas a good morning to have a proper fookabout, away we fooked….

Stops at both Downtown Conway Farmers' and Crafts Market and Conway, Arkansas Farmer's Market were had. We love all vendors, but we honestly go for snacks for big flappy mouths🫣. This haul included a tasty cinnamon roll flight from Natural State Sourdough Co., smacklackin’ tamales from Rubis Mexican Food, and YOU KNOWWWW we got them giganamous cookies from our new friend at HB Sweet Treats LLC🤤!

After a few more stops for personal malarkey, we seent Big Kev’s BBQ posted up at the Skyline Walmarts. We’d bought the treats above but had yet to put any in our faceholes, so a shnack was needed. Snagged a Brisket Mac N’ Cheese to share. Should NOT have gotten Brisket Mac N’ Cheese to share. SHOULD have buyed all the Brisket Mac N’ Cheese available and kept it to ourselves because it’s pretty much one of the best mac n chee dished we’ve ever placed upon our tongue tasters👀! Dishes like this are a reminder that there’s still a few reasons to keep getting out of bed every time this space rock does a twirly twirl. Cannot wait to try more of what this BBQ truck has to offer!

Don’t worry. We do soooo much cardio.

Also, got a hot date tonight. May just be another spot or 2 highlighted tomorrow. Depending on how many Old Fashioned beverages are consumed. Old Fashioneds? Old Fashionedses? What the hell is plural for Old Fashioned? Google probably has the answer, but the wonder of not knowing is better.

We did more food eats. Chick&Bunz and Las Delicias-Conway is where food eats occurred.

We’re so happy for Jeremy and his crew in Morrilton! Glad to have you back, friend! Those Fusion Fries and Burgers were fantastic as always! We hope Motown and the surrounding areas keep you crushing it💪🏼!

Ice cream is good, too. And Las Delicias has some of the best around. AND they’re moving to a new location soon! Excited to see the new spot in the near future! Peep that page for their updates👀!

The bad momma of this house wanted to get out and adventure to kick off her Mom’s Day weekend, so on an adventure we go….

Hit up the Conway, Arkansas Farmer's Market to get things started where we HAVE to get cookies from HB Sweet Treats LLC🍪! Some of THE BEST cookies your dollars can buy! Follow ‘em, find ‘em, buy the cookies, eat the cookies, get chonkier.

Went yonderways to the Demure Market for some great coffee and a walkabout. Mostly to pet dogs. There’s always so many dogs to pet and we must pet. But, teenage boys gonna teenage boy and NEED food at every stop. Luckily, Sister Blends was amongst the market magic. The smoothie bowls are bananas! Bad dum tss…

Went even more yonderways to Long Pool for a lil nature intake. Pretty sweet swimming area and a short hike to a neat-o waterfall if that’s your thing. The importanter part is that Hagarville Grocery is just a short drive away. Just a little more yonderways, if you will. Guys and gals and everything betwixt, why are you even alive if you haven’t had their Dogmother sando? It’s probably our sole purpose on this floating space rock, really. You will want to slap yo momma. But don’t. It’s Mom’s weekend. That would be rather rude.

Hey Jackson's Meat Market, who in the frickin’ heck gave you the right to make a sammich like this!? Son of a Biscoff™️ this m***a flickin sando is 🔥🔥🔥!! Holy Pastrami, call ya mommy, this goshdarn thing is The Pastram Bomb! And there’s AT LEAST 132 pastramis stuffed betwixt those poor slices of bread that are doing their darndest to hold in all that fan-friggin-tastic meat!

I stupidly got 2 think I’d for sure eat one by myself. Nah fam. That last pic is the aftermath. WELL worth the dollars spent. So. Much. Meat.🫪

Pretty sure it’s only available on Wednesdays! So go get a Humpday Humpback WHALE of a sammy! Well not today. You’ll have to wait til next Wednesday. Oh look a whale toot….

Personally, we’re not much for the sucking of toads for daze. Having an epic Old Fashioned and a tasty Philly Cheesesteak at O'Malley's Irish Grill is more better. Much more better. Honestly, it’s one of our favorite spots in town. Top 3 for sure. And they won’t….belt you with ridiculously high prices, either.😏

Go get ya taste buds WHOOPED!

Made the trip up to Fayetteville yesterday for some spring football since there’s a kid living rent-free in our house that wanted to go. Being a parent is cool, I guess. To be fair, he has big aspirations to play big time football so I guess it’s worth it or whatever.🙃

You know what really made the drive worth it? Getting to visit Wright's Barbecue for the first time ever. Holy Mother of Earth what an incredible meal. Thanks to Salty Dalty's BBQ we usually compare any other brisket to his. Wright’s is dadgum close to being THAT good. We’d have a hard time differentiating in a blind taste test four shore! Everything you see on those trays down yonder was absolutely delicious. Not one miss to be found.

After watching a boring spring game, sorry Hogs😬, we decided that we should go ahead and keep the excessive calorie intake going with some sweet treats. Cool Cat Creamery became our make-me-more-fatter destination. What a neat little spot you Russellville-ians have. Lucky for us, they aren’t closer to home. Otherwise, a new pants budget would need to be worked in.

Do the thing where you go visit these places if the opportunity presents itself. You’ll either like it or you won’t. Don’t blame us if you don’t. Your taste buds are broken.

Onion Rings? Yasss King! And the burgers be smackalackin’ too! 100/10 would eat many agains.

We’re working on some life stuff so we can possibly start planning a comeback. We haven’t given up on this yet!🤞🏼

Been slacking on the “Highlights Local Businesses” part. Here’s a two-fer for ya….

First photo looks a hot mess. Sorry, I couldn’t wait to get my fat paws and chonky chompers on that sammich. That there be a Chopped Italian from our very own Jackson's Meat Market. The only thing this sando is missing is a bib and trough. The Great Sandino would be a catchy name for this home run hitter. Just one fat guy’s opinion. Check out their page for the schedule as they do daily lunch specials! And what a great selection of local meats and such! We’re lucky to have them!

The other, more attractive photos because I honed in on some self-control, contain stupid good ramen and rice bowls from Aji Ramen Bar(I hope that’s the right one) in Little Rock. Honestly, it’s some of the best ramen we’ve found around these parts. And their steam buns. Oh the steam buns🤤. I lied. Well, partially. There was no self-control on those. No time for pictures. Just trust me.

Hoping to keep pumping up these local businesses more frequently!
