The Woodshed was honored to serve a healthy crew of 60ish for a rehearsal dinner tonight at The Brick Room. It was the full spread - they wanted me to pull out all the stops. So I did not withhold any stops.

Terri Hourigan, thank you for being an overall joy to work with.

Gina Flake, thank you for making the connection. You are now head of Marketing. (I don't know why it didn't tag you.)

It’s no secret that The Woodshed is a maniacal supporter of youth basketball (😒) , so it was a pleasure to have some pulled pork and homemade sauces featured at the state basketball tournament for homeschooled young humans of Arkansas.
Many teams won.
Others lost.
But we can all agree that, if you had some of what The Woodshed offered, you also won. Maybe. Or lost. Hard to say.

Basically, life's just one big crapshoot, people.

"Jimmy" from Home Alone was introduced in such a dramatic way that it sure looked like he was gonna play a much bigger role in the film/franchise.

And if you don't know who "Jimmy" is right now, the next time you watch, you'll see. Then you'll think, "yeah, Woodshed guy was right."

What up. I just wanted you to know that the good folks at Ensono got 'Shedded today. 35 wonderful faces fed.

And, yes, they paid me for it.

Noteworthy here is that I introduced two new items: brisket and shmancy mac & cheese. (To be clear, these were only "introduced" as go-forward Woodshed catering options; I'm pretty sure the Ensono folks were already well-acquainted with both brisket and m/c.)

****UPDATED - Turkey price has decreased. That was quick.****

Hey, look. I'll be offering a few "special event" items for the upcoming holiday season. Also, they'll henceforth be available all of the time, whether it's a holiday or just a Hungry Thursday.

Please note the statement about pricing. I'll just be covering cost. I ain't out to bleed anyone dry. Therefore, pricing will also fluctuate based on store prices. The costs given are just solid estimates. And I'll probably come down on them if I feel we have a special bond, or if you ask me nicely, or if you compliment my attitude or something. That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

Congrats to Victoria O. Milam on A) not being my sister, and B) nailing the random movie memory. For successfully checking both boxes, she'll get some of the most semi-decent options that The Woodshed has to offer.

It's November. That means it's giveaway time. Here goes...

I have 2 pounds of pulled pork, 5-10 rolls, Angry/Sweet sauce, and 32 liters of being impressed for the first person who can tell me:
What movie shaped me so deeply in my childhood that I, to this day, whilst vacuuming, will exert extreme diligence to prevent the vacuum from running over its own cord. It's just not gonna happen.
