For centuries, three coffee beans have been placed on top of espresso martinis with very little pushback. And while we respect tradition, at StoneRose we ask the difficult questions: Do three beans really add enough drama? Do they make an entrance? Do they bring texture, contrast, layers of flavor and just the right amount of volcanic energy to the party? We think not. That’s why we serve our espresso martini with a black lava salt swirl — because three beans had a good run, but progress waits for no garnish.
