This week we got a review that stopped us in our tracks and we have to share it. A customer came to Dragon Bowl C three days in a row this week during his brotherās murder trial because it was the closest spot to the courthouse, and because his brother loved DBZ and ramen. They used to talk about coming here together. They made that happen before he was taken from them. Our team had no idea why he kept coming back until the last day, when he told Stephanie and Nivardo the truth behind those three visits. Stephanie greeted him by name each time. Nivardo cooked with the same care he brings every day, never knowing it would become part of somebodyās hardest week. He told us that even in the middle of everything, being there made a hard week just a little bit better, and that the memory of our staff will always make him smile when he thinks back on that time. To this man, thank you for trusting us with something that heavy and for choosing us during a week we canāt imagine. Your brother had great taste. These are your roses and you deserve every one of them. This is not the first time our place has meant something bigger than a meal. Weāve watched a man propose to the woman who became his wife right here in our dining room. Weāve watched a young man who knew his time was coming choose to spend one of his last wishes with us, and being part of that journey, being part of that memory, and getting to make that day special for him is something we will carry with us forever. Weāve been the last stop before somebody left town to start a whole new chapter of their life. Weāve watched this community build memories inside these walls, and that is not something we take lightly. We love Conroe. Weāve fought for this downtown, weāve advocated for this city, and we will keep showing up for it because this community has shown up for us in ways we never expected. To Stephanie and Nivardo, we see you and weāre proud of you. This is exactly why we do what we do.
