This 66 year old mud floor in Charlotte NC was crumbling, the toilet fl**ge was cracked, so I removed the fl**ge, we'll install a new one after the new tile is installed, I removed the mudbed down to the joists, it was lowered to accommodate the mud, I installed 3/4" plywood over that, and 1/2" cement board over that, now we have a rock solid substrate to put our Carrera marble mosaics on

It's a wrap! 3x12 mat ceramic subway tile from Floor and Decor, Mapei fa grout, Frost, client wasn't sure where to end the tile behind the sink, I suggested we end at the top of cabinets and let's do a diagonal herringbone accent there, I flanked the herringbone with Schluter profile trim for a clean separation between the 50/50 subway pattern.
