Thai Table Oak Grove

Thai Table Oak Grove “Where flavor feels like home.” Thai Table Oak Grove is a small, family-run Thai restaurant where every dish is prepared fresh to order, one plate at a time.

We stay true to the bold, balanced, and authentic Thai flavors we grew up with, using quality ingredients and traditional cooking - never shortcuts. Our kitchen is lovingly run by a small family team, cooking with care and welcoming every guest with warmth. Because everything is made from scratch, it may take us a little extra time on certain days. We sincerely appreciate your patience, and we're

grateful for everyone who chooses to wait for freshly prepared food. We put our heart into every dish, crafting each one the same way we'd cook for our own family. If you're looking for real Thai flavors made with honesty and attention to detail, we're here to share our table with you. Thank you for supporting our little kitchen. We look forward to cooking for you.

🇹🇭✨ Weekly Thai Spotlight — Eating Together

In traditional Thai culture, meals were rarely meant to be eaten alone.

Food came to the table all at once —
shared dishes, shared spoons, shared moments.
There were no courses, no “my plate” and “your plate.”
Just food in the middle, and people around it.

Eating together wasn’t only about getting full.
It was how families talked, how friends connected,
and how difficult days slowly felt lighter.

Even today, many Thais believe that sitting down to eat together
can say more than words ever could 🧡
You don’t always need to explain how you feel —
sometimes, sharing a meal is enough.

Just a small glimpse into everyday Thai life we wanted to share.
Because for us, food has always been about being together ✨

✨🍍 Pineapple Fried Rice 🍚🥰
A little sweet, a little savory — and perfectly balanced.

Fragrant jasmine rice stir-fried with juicy pineapple, egg, raisins, roasted cashew nuts, and colorful vegetables, all brought together in that comforting Thai-style flavor we grew up with. 🧡
Finished with your choice of protein, just the way you like it.

It’s one of those dishes that feels bright, cozy, and familiar all at once —
a gentle reminder that simple things, when done with care, can be really special.

Hope this plate brings you a warm, satisfying moment today.

Happy Friday! 🫶🏻🥰✨

So grateful for moments like this 🙏🏻🥰

Thank you for choosing our little Thai kitchen for your small private lunch gathering today.
It truly means so much to us that you trusted us to take care of your meal and your time together.

We may be a small restaurant with a small kitchen,
but every table, every group, and every smile reminds us why we do what we do.

Thank you for the support, the kindness, and for letting us be part of your day.
We’re deeply thankful for each and every one of you 🧡✨

🇹🇭✨ Thai Word of the Week — “Im” (อิ่ม)

Im (อิ่ม) means “full” in Thai —
but it’s more than just feeling full from food.

🍚 Im Thong (อิ่มท้อง)

Feeling full in your body.
The kind of fullness that comes from a warm, well-cooked meal.

🤍 Im Jai (อิ่มใจ)

Feeling full in your heart.
That quiet, happy feeling after sharing a meal, a moment, or a smile.

In Thai culture, food isn’t only about eating.
It’s about care, connection, and sitting together at the table. 🧡

Some days we feel im thong.
Some days we feel im jai.
And on the best days, we’re lucky enough to feel both. 🥰

Wishing you a meal that leaves you full —
in body and in heart ✨

This past Friday and Saturday were incredibly busy for our little kitchen.
Within the first hour of opening, orders came in faster than we could keep up. 🙏🏻😉

We had to pause online orders, stop answering phone calls,
and turn away some walk-in guests —
something that’s never easy for a small, family-run restaurant like ours.

To everyone who waited patiently, showed understanding,
and offered us kindness — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🧡
And to those we couldn’t serve, we’re truly sorry
for the time you spent calling or stopping by.

We cook everything with care, and while we wish we could serve everyone,
sometimes we simply reach our limit.
Your patience and support mean more to us than we can say.

Wishing everyone a gentle, restful Sunday.
Just a reminder that we’ll be closed tomorrow (Monday)
and will be back again on Tuesday ✨

Thank you for always supporting our little kitchen. 🫶🏻

Saturday comfort, straight from our kitchen 🖤🥩🔥

Our Black Pepper Steak —
tender slices of beef sautéed with fresh young peppercorns and black pepper,
bell peppers, white onions, tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro.

Bold, savory, and gently spicy —
the kind of dish that feels rich, comforting, and satisfying without trying too hard.

If you’re craving something warm and full of flavor this Saturday,
our kitchen is ready to welcome you 🍽️🧡

🇹🇭✨ Origin of Som-Tum — ส้มตำ (Papaya Salad)

Som-Tum comes from Isan, the northeastern region of Thailand —
a place with its own culture, traditions, and way of life.

Isan is different from central Thailand.
The language spoken there is Isan (Lao-Isan),
which is not the same as standard Thai and carries its own rhythm and expressions.

Life in Isan has long been shaped by farming, seasons,
and cooking with what grows close to home.
Food is bold, honest, and deeply connected to the land.

Green papaya from the backyard,
chilies, garlic, lime, and fish sauce
are pounded together in a wooden mortar —
not just to make food, but to bring people together.

“Som” means sour.
“Tum” means to pound.
A humble dish, full of bright flavors, meant to be shared.

As Som-Tum traveled beyond Isan and into other regions — and the world —
it changed slightly from place to place,
but its heart remains the same.

Fresh. Bold. Communal.
A dish born from the land, the culture, and the people who live on it. 🧡🍽️

🇹🇭✨ Weekly Thai Spotlight — Did You Know?

Thai people often call each other
“พี่ (Phi)” and “น้อง (Nong)” —
even when they’re not related at all.

These words mean older sibling and younger sibling,
but they’re really about respect, warmth, and closeness. 🫶🏻

Using “Phi” or “Nong” gently removes distance.
It turns a stranger into someone familiar
and makes everyday interactions feel more caring.

You’ll hear it everywhere —
at markets, cafés, and small family-run shops.
It’s a quiet way of saying,
“You’re welcome here. You belong.”

That feeling is something we hold close at our table —
where everyone is treated like family,
and every visit feels a little more familiar. 🍽️🥰🧡

🇹🇭✨ Thai Word of the Week — กินข้าวหรือยัง? (Gin khao rue yang?)

Meaning: Have you eaten?
—but in Thai culture, it really means
“I care about you.” 🧡

In Thailand, asking “กินข้าวหรือยัง?” —
“Gin khao rue yang?”
is a gentle way to check in on someone.
It’s not about the food —
it’s about warmth, connection, and care.

So today, we’ll ask you the same 🥰
Have you eaten yet?

If not, our little kitchen is warm and ready to welcome you 🫶🏻✨
