Tasty Pizza is now Class Act Pizza.

After years of serving schools with pizza that students love and families can feel good about, a new name is being introduced.

While the name is changing the commitment isn’t.

Class Act was built on a simple idea. Do things the right way. That means using thoughtfully sourced ingredients, making pizza fresh and creating food that students are genuinely excited to eat. Because let’s be honest - great school food starts with something kids actually want on their tray.

For us, school lunch has always been about more than food. It's
about showing up for students, supporting communities, and
raising expectations for what everyday pizza can be.
You may notice a new name and a fresh look, but you'll still find
the same passion, the same dedication, and the same promise behind every pizza we make.

We're proud to be entering this next chapter with Class Act Pizza.

MDUSD Food & Nutrition Services is proud to partner with Conscious Kitchen and the Conscious Co-op!

Meet Alexandra (Alex) Emmott, Director of Food & Nutrition Services at Mt. Diablo Unified School District, where she and her team serve more than 24,000 meals each day across 55 schools.

After decades working in restaurants, school nutrition, and even running her own farm-to-table bakery, Alex brings a deep belief in the power of school food to create positive environmental and social change.

As the lead district for the Conscious Organic School Food Purchasing Cooperative (Conscious Co-op), Alex is helping bring 16 school districts together to purchase organic food collaboratively—making it easier for schools to source fresh, organic ingredients, creating more reliable markets for farmers, and helping drive down costs through collective buying.

This is what leadership looks like: using the power of school food to nourish students, strengthen local agriculture, and build a healthier food system for everyone.

Strawberries are: Cholesterol Free, Low Fat, Sodium Free, Gluten Free, Low in Saturated Fat, a Good source of Fiber and rich in Fiber, Vitamin C, Potassium and Antioxidants
Fun Facts: Approximately 90% of all strawberries are produced in California, One acre of land can grow about 50,000 pounds of strawberries. A typical strawberry has 200 seeds. Strawberries are the only “fruit” with seeds on the outside, which makes them part of the rose family and not a fruit.

Our team had the opportunity to tour the Bolani Flatbread Factory in Concord, CA today! It was a great experience learning more about how these delicious flatbreads are made. Keep an eye on our school menus, they'll be coming soon!
