52 years ago today August 30 1974 I had a Bone Transplant because I had bone cancer it was called Osteosarcoma they removed the cancer from just above my knee and had to put in new bone in its place, it was one of the first times they had ever done anything like it in the world it was done at the Alfred DuPont children's hospital in Wilmington Delaware

This group of young travelers are from Italy they stopped early this morning they were some of the nicest travelers we have had this year
Italian travelers are like Italian food they are great

The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum that is located in St Louis
Held a photograph contest called The Open Road
There were over 300 entries and the Grand Prize was taken by Ian Bowen from Pasadena California for his photo called
"Dairy King, Dusk" it was a blind contest so the judges didn't know who the photographers were so they just picked the ones they thought was best
He won Grand Prize and Second Place for a different photo
