We are so thankful for our community of Big Salad friends during our years of operation in Commerce. We’ve been blessed to develop many relationships through serving the community. We thank all who have supported us and know that each of you are deeply appreciated. It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the Big Salad-Commerce will not re-open.
We received kindness and support from so many along the way: our dedicated employees, family and friends, TBS Franchise Family, and of course, our loyal guests. Above and beyond serving great food to great people, an extra reward came from seeing so much positivity in the community. While operating TBS, we saw first-hand many people dedicated to making our community so wonderful. We were privileged to team up with a variety of local charitable organizations, and together we accomplished small victories in and outside our community.
We’ll certainly miss fun moments that came along the way (just to name a few):
young children building salads like pros, guests driving over 60 miles to get their “Big Salad fix,” being called by name when customers became friends, special messages left behind on our chalkboard, seeing smiles after a bite of a warm chocolate chip cookie, and over-hearing, “Look, there’s the Big Salad Lady,” while out in the community.
Here’s the good news... if you find yourself craving a great salad, as we did before starting our own Big Salad, you can head to other TBS locations in the Detroit area. You’ll still find the beautiful Eastern Market images that represent this Detroit-based, family-owned company, and its ongoing commitment to the freshest quality produce, which we proudly serve our guests.
And please... be sure to stop and say hi if you ever see “The Big Salad Lady” around town!
