Do you want to make some applesauce this year? We have you covered!

Not only do we carry canning jars, the Foley Food mill, and handy buckets, but we will be happy to share our preferences on which apples to use; techniques to minimize added sugar, and any other information you may require.

Applesauce is a big deal in our family. In Amish kitchens, applesauce is the most important side dish to every hot meal. Martha (mom) would regularly preserve approximately 400 quarts of applesauce each fall to last our family for a year. We used half gallon jars and as a family we could consume a jar in short order.
To this day there's nothing more delicious than a home cooked meal with a side of applesauce.

We love seeing Green Creek community events! We plan on stopping in to get us some BBQ Chicken plates after we are done with our donut day this coming Saturday!

This week we have lemon pies! Super delicious, made with freshly zested and squeezed lemons. This week and next will be the last week for summer pies.

Donut flavors for tomorrow are: lemon covered, s'mores, maple BACON, and chocolate covered.

It's a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin with cream cheese filling kind of day. It starts the day off right, as we prep for this Labor Day weekend.

We're making another fresh batch of Cherry and Blueberry Delights today. A perfect light and delicious dessert for your Labor Day plans.

Fresh sourdough, sweet breads and Cherry Delights are headed to Guernsey Girl Creamery . Another batch of fresh cinnamon rolls, pepperoni rolls and pumpkin bars were delivered to .

Dickens Bees has just dropped off a fresh batch of honey. Check out the color difference between the sourwood and wildflower honeys. This honey is as delicious as it is pretty!

We will be closed tomorrow, Saturday August 29th. Mom (Martha) and I will be heading to Kentucky to spend some time with my brothers and their families. It will be lovely to see them, and spend some time refreshing our memories of our life before we left the Amish.
Meanwhile, today we have tomato pies, fresh blackberry bars, and blackberry cobblers available, along with cinnamon rolls and lots of other goodies!
