The Toast Bar is staffed by friendly and educated foodies. The menu revolves around the classic combination of bread and butter--both made fresh daily, as well as a choose-your-own “toast flight” with a rotating selection of toppings and breads. As is typical of Dan the Baker, you can expect a commitment to simplicity, utmost quality of ingredients, and a seasonally changing menu. In addition to fresh slabs of gourmet toast, you can snag a cup of single origin coffee, fresh pastries, and loaves to go. The coffees are sourced from local roasters Brioso and One Line Coffee, as well as Intelligentsia in Chicago. Owner Daniel Riesenberger, a Columbus native and the mastermind behind this operation, has been crafting sourdough loaves from the same starter and organic grains for over 7 years. You may have tried his bread at one of the city’s top gourmet grocers and restaurants or perhaps at some of the weekly farmer’s markets in the greater Columbus area.
