ies. Caribbean cuisine is a fusion of African, Amerindian, European, East Indian, Arab, and Chinese cuisine. Ingredients which are common are rice, plantains, beans, cassava, cilantro, bell peppers, chickpeas, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, coconut, and any of the various meats that are locally available like beef, poultry, pork or fish. A characteristic seasoning for the region is a green herb and oil-based marinade which imparts a flavor profile that is quintessentially Caribbean in character. Other ingredients may include garlic, onions, scotch bonnet, hot peppers, celery, and seasonings such as curry, marjoram, rosemary, jerk, tarragon, thyme, geera (cumin), and massala.

Hey Rawle. It’s not cool man. I heard from my friends in Columbus that petite caribe closed because of COVID. This makes me very disappointed. I enjoyed many work lunches, rugby socials, and late night parties / small concerts with you. Some I remember well, and some I barely remember at all. It’s not often we find a place that feels like family where you can enjoy a meal cooked with love and also have a big party later in the evening. Columbus is losing a gem for sure, but I’m sure that for you the best is yet to come 🙏 🙏 🙏

I just saw your LPC post on Facebook. I'm heartbroken for myself obviously but more importantly for you and your restaurant. The best damn restaurant and the best damn food this town has ever seen. My life was enriched by its presence, I only wish I knew about it sooner. I know now is a sad time and your probably thinking about what you're doing next but just know that if you still have the equipment and capability and interest to cook I am sure that some of your regulars and especially me would happily buy food from you if you're cooking it. If not please let me know if and when you start a new restaurant venture so I can support you.

To All Our Valued Le Petite Customers, Friends and Well-wishers
It is with great sadness that we announce that Le Petite Caraibes will be closing its doors. We want to thank all of our wonderful customers and employees for supporting us over these past years. What began as dream of a Caribbean immigrant in Columbus has flourished into a vibrant restaurant and bar that nourished and entertained a diverse customer base with international cuisine and music.
Without doubt, the Covid-19 pandemic has been difficult for independent restaurant owners, and though this is not the end result we hoped for, we are extremely humbled that so many embraced our restaurant and that we were able to succeed as long as we had. We could not have done it without all of you.
