Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Extended Family,
an opportunity we could not refuse has presented itself, and with that after 17 wonderful years serving the Columbus community, we are writing to share the bittersweet news that Skillet will be closing its doors.
Day 1
When we first opened in 2009, before the farm to table movement, before the food truck and brunch scene blew up, we dreamed of creating more than just a restaurant—we wanted to build a gathering place where neighbors became friends and friends became family. We started with a small food truck early that year, and by October we’d graduated to a brick in mortar in our favorite Columbus neighborhood! Looking back now, we can say with full hearts that you helped us achieve that dream beyond our wildest expectations.
Thank You for the Memories
Every morning we unlocked these doors, we were greeted by your smiling faces. You celebrated your birthdays here, brought your children for their first restaurant meals, gathered after graduations, and found comfort in familiar flavors during difficult times. You shared your lives with us, and in return, we poured our hearts into every dish we served.
We've hosted your first dates, engagements, weddings, baby showers, and anniversaries. We celebrated birthdays, promotions, and countless holidays. You weren't just customers—you became part of our story, and we are honored to be a part of yours.
Columbus has been more than a location for our business—it's been our home. The support you've shown us through the years, through economic ups and downs, through challenges we never could have imagined when we started, has been nothing short of extraordinary.
To our incredible staff—many of whom have been with us for years. Thank you for all the help, and memories. Truly a lifetimes worth.

While our restaurant is closing, we're excited to share that our Skillet Hot Sauce, coffee, and other retail items will continue to be available online. You can still bring a taste of Skillet into your home—whether it's that morning cup of coffee you loved or the hot sauce that became a staple at your table. Visit us online to stock up on your favorites and share them with friends and family.
