The ZwanzigZ Way
Proof, Not Promises
Let’s do some math. Real math. Not craft beer Instagram math.
In 2025, the World Beer Cup had 8,375 entries.
116 Gold Medals were awarded.
That means if you enter a beer, you’ve got about a 1 in 72 chance of winning Gold.
Already not great odds.
Now here’s where it gets interesting.
What are the odds that the same beer, from the same brewery, wins Gold in two World Beer Cup events… years apart… judged by completely different panels… in a field that keeps getting bigger, noisier, and more hype-driven every year?
Answer: About 1 in 5,000.
That’s not “we had a good batch.”
That’s not “limited release.”
That’s not “new labels and can drops every week.”
That’s not “we sent 14 beers and hoped something stuck.”
That’s called actually knowing how to brew award-winning beer - at the highest level.
Our Fulcrum Imperial Stout won World Beer Cup Gold in 2022.
And then it did it again in 2025.
Same beer.
Same recipe.
Same standards.
While the industry got louder, trendier, and more obsessed with can art, pastry stouts, and whatever the algorithm says people should drink this month…
We just kept quietly making our beer the right way.
No circus. No gimmicks. No hype machine.
Just process. Discipline. Repeatability.
Turns out, the judges noticed.
Twice.
The math tells the story.
Hype gets attention. Consistency earns medals.
The next time you visit a craft brewery, taste the beer like a judge would.
Not like a follower would.
Great beer doesn’t need hype.
