Glur's Tavern Voted Best Burgers in town! National Historic site. Oldest continousley operated tavern west of the Missourii River, Circa 1876.

Known to have been frequented by William " Buffalo Bill" Cody in the 1880's and the early 1900's. Business originated as the Bucher Saloon started by Swiss Immigrant brothers William and Joseph Bucher. Renamed Glur's Tavern in 1914 with Louis Glur taking over as proprietor.

Every year, students from the Ontario Agricultural College make Glur’s Tavern part of their journey—stopping in to eat, drink, make memories, and leave their mark with a decorated ceiling tile. 🌽 BIG THINGS ARE COMING TO THE GLUR’S BEER GARDEN! 🌽

We’re excited to announce that Glur’s Tavern will be starting an outdoor co****le league next spring!

Team sign-ups will begin this winter, so start putting your crew together now. We’re also inviting local businesses to sponsor a team! Business sponsors will have the opportunity to hang their banner in our huge beer garden throughout the league season—a great way to support some friendly competition while getting your business seen!

The pictures below are a sneak peek at what our new co****le boards will look like, and we can’t wait to put them to use!

Co****le is just the beginning. New sand for our horseshoe pits is next on the list, but we’ll be kicking things off with co****le first.

We’ve been busy! We’re making some changes, sprucing things up, and giving the place a little TLC while keeping the old-school Glur’s feel we all love.
