Miriam just dropped off the fresh 2024-2025 crop of Ethiopian coffee. She imports coffee from her family farm in Ethiopia to Columbus, OH. We’ve been roasting Miriam’s coffee now for 2 years and we love it. It is a featured coffee in our popular Honey Espresso Blend. It is available as a single origin dark roast, and included in our breakfast blend, traditional espressos and Java blues.

Last weekend at Columbus Coffee Festival, Imperial Coffee Sourcing had the opportunity to serve Ethiopia Guji coffee traditional brewing / ceremony to visitors. Guests from Ohio, Indiana, Texas, California, UK, Spain, Indiana, Mexico, Somali, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Taiwan,... All from different walks of life sat down at our booth and enjoyed a great conversation, patiently waiting over a long brewing process (labour of love) to drink a great cup of coffee. Process starts by roasting Guji green coffee beans, crashing and brewing it in a clay pot called Jebena. It was a beautiful circle of gathering where the barriers of differences diminished over a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony/ brewing method. It was a great honor to cohost with Hemisphere Coffee Roasters who presented Guji Ethiopia cold & hot brew, light & dark roast coffee beans & brew to visitors.

are planning to feature a Guji Ethiopia coffee at their booth, both hot and cold brew. In the spirit of that, they are planning to have the Importer group, Imperial Coffee Sourcing in their booth. Her family grows and imports the coffee to them. In Ethiopia, it is very common to host a ceremony where coffee is roasted, ground and served. It is a cultural and historical ritual that has gone on for generations and continues through today.

They are hosting an authentic Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony at 10am and 3:30pm both days. The ceremony is an hour and a half long so guests will be able to come and go through out it.
