🍎 A Little Something From My Family to Yours 🍎
Flu season will be here before we know it, so I’m preparing a batch of gentle, kid-friendly fire c***r for our home—and since this isn’t something I can sell, I thought I’d share the recipe with all of you instead! 🌿
This version leaves out the hot peppers and horseradish found in traditional fire c***r, giving it a sweeter, milder flavor the older kids can enjoy.
Gentle Family Fire C***r — Half-Gallon Batch
🍎 2 small apples, thinly sliced
🍊 2 oranges, thinly sliced
🍋 1 lemon, thinly sliced
🌿 3 tablespoons sliced fresh ginger
🌿 2 cinnamon sticks
🌿 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
🧄 2 small garlic cloves, lightly crushed (optional)
🍎 Apple-c***r vinegar with 5% acidity, enough to cover everything completely
🍯 ⅔–1 cup honey, added after straining
Place everything except the honey into a clean half-gallon jar. Completely cover the ingredients with apple-c***r vinegar, close the jar, and refrigerate for 2–3 weeks, gently shaking it occasionally. Strain, stir in the honey to taste, and keep refrigerated.
For children over one, start with ½ teaspoon diluted well in water or apple juice and serve with food. Because vinegar is acidic, never serve it straight.
⚠️ Important: This recipe contains honey and should never be given to babies under 12 months. Fire c***r is a traditional seasonal food, not a treatment or replacement for medical care.
Here’s to preparing for the colder months with a little kitchen magic and a whole lot of love—from my family to yours. 🖤🌿 ***r remedies
