Here is a cat that is damn cute. She also never goes hungry. In a world where some have more than they can use in several lifetimes, you may (or may not) be surprised that a lot of kids go hungry when school is out for summer. I find this galling and cruel, considering all the things we seem to be able to afford as a civilization.
Foodshare is an organization working to eliminate food insecurity.

I'm not sure if I am a morning person or I became one because of circumstance. I've seen the stars before dawn a thousand times or more, and toiled throught a thousand more sunrises.
But still the hopefulness of another day is inspiring and often a beautiful thing to behold. I always cling to the hope that the sun might rise on a better world with more peace, love, and harmony.
Let's work for that if we can.

I was happy with the way dinner turned out: Ribeye (seared on the outside, rare on the inside, cooked over charcoal), kale and mustard (always cooked with umami mushroom powder), and some Congaree Milling Company Yellow Polenta (cooked in stock, finished with Port Salut cheese (party leftovers) and a scallion pesto). I am appreciative of this bounty I get to enjoy!
Incidentally, Greg is at Thursday from around 4-6 p.m. (approximately) and The Farm Stand at on Saturdays from 10 am-2 pm. Catch there! You might catch me at HG, but definitely at the Farm Stand.

BIG NEWS! In collaboration with I am doing a market down at old City Roots! We will be here through the fall (and probably beyond) every Saturday from 10am 'till 2 pm. Incidentally,this also happens to be where MY NEW FACILITY will be. Come see us and pick up some flowers and some stone-ground grits!
