🍷 Tobía Selección Rioja 2010
From Rioja, one of northern Spain’s great historic w**e regions 🇪🇸, this is a w**e that shows what time can do when structure, fruit, and oak are allowed to settle beautifully into one another.
It is a big w**e, but never a heavy-handed one. 🍇 There is real depth and concentration, yet everything arrives with remarkable delicacy. Cedar leads the nose 🌲, followed by restrained, slightly unripe black fruit, dark berry skin, and a very subtle warmth of spice sitting quietly in the background ✨
What makes this bottle particularly memorable is its finish. The tannins have softened beautifully with age, but the w**e has not lost its presence. The aftertaste is long, dry, woody, and gently spiced, lingering almost like the scent of cedar after leaving an old cellar.
It is the kind of Rioja you can drink in the early evening 🌙 and still feel as though you are carrying a trace of it with you for the rest of the night.
Our supplier had only two cases of the 2010 vintage remaining. We took them both. 🍷✨
