What is the first drink you ever made that made you think, “Yep, this is my thing”?

The first drink I ever made that made me think, “Yep, this is my thing,” is a mojito. Before I even drank alcohol I dated a girl who loved mojitos and chewed Orbit mojito gum because the flavors were so close. I fell in love with the flavors myself and many failures later when I became a bartender, it was the first drink I perfected.

If someone wants to drink that feels both classic and unexpected, what would you recommend?

If someone wants a drink that feels both classic and unexpected, I’m putting a smoked Old Fashioned in front of them every time. Maybe sweetend with a little Grand Marnier, but I’m both a ham and pyro so it scraches almost every part of my brain.

How do you make each guest experience at the bar feel both unique and memorable?

I make each guest’s experience at the bar feel unique and memorable because I’m a natural empath and feel how the people around me feel deeply, so I’m able to discern if they want hyper professional to dramatic experience or anywhere in between. I’m a people pleaser at my core, so I try to give everyone the experience they are seeking.

If you could invent a signature cocktail just for yourself, what would it be called and what would be in it?

If I could invent a signature cocktail just for myself, it would be a Rumple Minze Bloody Mary and I would call it “Crime and Punishment”.

What’s one thing about bartending that always makes you smile?

“Honestly, it’s the people. You never know who’s going to sit at your bar and I love meeting guests from all different walks of life!! Some of them turn into regulars, which is my favorite part. And when I make someone a drink and they genuinely love it, that never gets old. It’s so satisfying to see someone enjoy something you created.”

If you could create a signature drink that represents your personality, what would it be?

“I do already have a few signature drinks but if I had to describe one, it would be bright and easy to enjoy at first, with a little spice and a bold finish. I love a drink that’s fun but still has some depth. You’ll just have to come in and try one of my creations and see!!”

Outside of bartending, what’s something you’re really passionate about?

“I’m really passionate about growing in the craft, especially through cocktail competitions. I love pushing myself creatively and seeing how far I can take an idea. I also love supporting my fellow service industry friends, whether that’s checking out local spots or just showing up for them. And of course, spending time with friends and family keeps me grounded through all of it.”

What is your perfect dinner at Di Vino?

“I always say start with the pear and ricotta fiocchi and the marinated burrata. You really can’t go wrong there. For dinner, I’m a big fan of the Campanelle alla Boscaiola, and I love seeing what specials we’re running each night. And for dessert, it’s either the carrot cake or the chocolate torte. I won’t make you choose, because I can’t either.”. You know her, and love her! Come see Krisha next time you’re nearby!!✨🍷

“My favorite menu item is the Fiocchi, it’s rich and creamy with a sweet and salty element that’s great for sharing! A must-have, for sure.”

Favorite drink/wine from Di Vino?

“My favorite drink is the Honeybee. I love that it’s floral and light with a touch of honey that balances out the gin and creates a beautiful sip. As an added bonus, the empress gin imparts a violet color that is unique and visually striking.”

Favorite part about working there?

“The best part about working here is the people I get to take care of. I love hearing everyone’s stories, be it parents prospective USC students visiting the area, couples celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary or regulars I see on a weekly basis. I love watching the joy that coming together for a meal or a glass of wine can bring a group of people.”
