Batter Up Cupcakes LLC and us have to brag on YOU ALL! We truly have the best friends, family, customers, and businesses in our circles. You all heard the call and stepped up without asking. Today we were able to put together over 50 bbq meals for Boone County firefighters, first responders, and highway Patrol officers. The loss of one of their own has to take a toll on them, and with your help, this makes their day a little brighter. On top of the meals, we're able to donate money directly to the family!!! My sister and I can't thank you all enough! Special thanks to our father, and clara for their help this morning. A huge shoutout to a few more small businesses that stepped up without hesitation

We are pairing up with Batter Up Cupcakes LLC to make bbq meals for the firefighters and personnel. We will be cooking and delivering this week. If you feel inclined to donate to the cause, You can get with Batter up for their venmo. Donations are already pouring in and we can't thank you enough for helping us make this time a bit easier on them.

It is with great sadness that I announce that Boone County Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Matthew Tobben died this morning during a swift water rescue operation.

Assistant Chief Matt Tobben was assisting the Columbia Fire Department during a swift water rescue operation at Rangeline Street and Bear Creek early this morning. The firefighters had rescued two individuals when the zodiac boat overturned and Chief Tobben was thrown from the boat and drowned. The Columbia Firefighter and the two victims originally rescued were able to be rescued and are doing ok.
