Hope everyone is doing well.

This post is to help a food trucker with a grave cancer diagnosis of only days or weeks to live. Some of you may know the little blue truck at Palmer lake. Link to donate in bio. Thank you - every bit counts for this family.

Dear Family, Friends, and Community,

We are asking for donations to help the Nava Adame family who are absolutely devastated with the unexpected news they received a couple of weeks ago. Sabino, who is only 53 years old, has been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of stomach cancer and has been given days to weeks to live.The doctor stated his cancer is stage 4 and is extremely aggressive, and he has never seen a cancer so aggressive like this one. The doctor also said his cancer is spreading so fast it’s like adding fuel to a fire because it’s spreading extremely fast. His wife and children are devastated with the unexpected news and are not prepared for the high cost of funeral arrangements. The family would like to start planning and making arrangements prior to Sabino’s passing, as the costs are a bit lower if they plan before his passing.

Sabino and his family are the owners of the Mexican truck El Rincon Chilango located in Monument off Hwy 105 and are known for their authentic Mexican cuisines. The family has not opened the truck for over a month so they could care for Sabino, which has caused the family a financial hardship. For this reason, we are reaching out to the community, family, and friends to help cover some of the unexpected costs that are coming their way.

We just sold our food truck. To say it’s a bittersweet experience is an understatement.

We will always cherish the memories from the first day we brought it home, nicely decked out with our Formosa Bites logo and various food line art drawn by our friend, Marge. 🥹

It’s about the people. Has always been and always will.

The people whom we want to cook for and create happy memories with.

The people who became friends and family over the years.

Who came to try our food, came to work with us, support our ideas, hear our struggles and celebrate our accomplishments.

Thank you.

You came to party with us on our first day at the Monument Christmas tree lighting festival, where we were decidedly a hot mess!

You bought frozen potstickers and chili oil when our food truck met with an accident and couldn’t be repaired for almost a year.

You rallied us on. And onwards we go.

To having our stall at food hall.

Where Terry got to serve up dishes like our Taiwanese beef noodle soup and other dishes not possible in a limited food truck kitchen.

Where he got to showcase his favorite home-style dishes in an amazing supper soirée series.

Where he came to came to call home (after spending 60-80 hours a week working)! 🤪

We are deeply saddened that it’s not just our last day, but , and others this Friday the 14th.

We like to wish our friends all the best in their next venture.

And this may be the end of a chapter but it won’t be the last you’ll hear from us.

We will keep this page going, to share about our foodie friends.

Please keep supporting them if you can.

Most of you have seen the announcement yesterday that is closing its doors at the end of this week.

We have prepped ourselves for our final week but didn’t expect our neighbors to have to do the same.

Our greatest gratitude to Noah, Rodrigo, Diana, Virginia and Azara! We can’t thank you all enough.

At the time of posting, one dear Jenai just left and we wish her the very best! She’s been with us since day one when we started 🙏🏼 We remember the chaos as two of our staff were sick that opening week. Jenai and Terry held up the fort while the kids and I took orders. It was the craziest and sweetest memory. Thank you .truelove from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
