We've been sipping on some serious coffee while renovating the coffeehouse (and Chuck and Susan's team has been mainlining espresso for the Market) but we didn't forget to give the outside of the building a facelift too! 🎉 Here is a your sneak peek look....a "before" and an aspirational "after".

First “official” batch of cold in process. I’m using a testy (and tasty 😎😆) blend of both natural and washed process single origin specialty beans. Can’t wait for you to give it a try!

The countdown is on! One week to our grand opening on 9/14. Reilly and I are so excited to open our doors to our Colonial Beach neighbors, friends and soon to be friends.

Mark your calendars for an epic day at the corner of Washington & Wilder. It starts at 9am with the ribbon cutting extravaganza at The Market on Main Street, where Susan and Chuck spill the beans on their master plan for The Market! Then, come back for our grand-opening shindig at 10 am after which we're officially open for business.

PS: We are doing a soft opening this Thursday, 9/10. This event is invite-only as it's intended to be our barista team's dress rehearsal. We don't want to overwhelm them...yet. 🤓 Once we invited family (of course, we had to 😆), contractors, vendors and others who have been directly involved in the buildout effort, we realized we have enough folks to be "simulated" customers (aka guinea pigs).

Can't wait to see you all sometime on opening day or soon thereafter!!!

The grand opening countdown for the Perk begins! We're only 11 days away from opening our doors.😆 On Monday, September 14th at 10 AM, we'll do our ribbon-cutting and welcome everyone in! We can’t wait to pour your first cup at The Perk and want to host another giveaway!

What started as just an idea is about to become a place where people can gather, slow down, and enjoy a cup of coffee with us. Since our coffee is roasted in-house, we invite you all to guess in the comments what Bob’s favorite roast is and which country in Central America it comes from.

Roast options:
- Light
- Medium
- Dark

And it’s one of these four countries:
- Honduras
- Guatemala
- Costa Rica
- El Salvador
