Aloha Community -

We are privileged once again to be selling Shave Ice at the CB Drifters Football game tonight. Come out and support our team and have a Shave Ice . Game Starts at 7 PM. Equally we are blessed to be able to sponsor the CB Athletic Boosters and get our banner placed along the Field fence.

FYI -Tomorrow SAT. 9/19 we will be closing our take out window at 320 1st ST. to take our mobile trailer and offer shave ice at a Kids Sporting event. We will open up our window again on Mon. 9/21 from 8 AM - 5PM M-Sat.

Good Day Community! I trust everyone had a great weekend. Many thanks to the Colonial Beach Community Foundation for putting on the Northern Neck Music Festival, now in it's 8th year. It was a great venue and allowed a space for people to let their hair down, get out and dance, enjoy some good Motown Music, food and to come together to support community projects. Thanks to our local radio Station WWER for covering the event.

Aloha Community -

We had a busy Labor Day Weekend. We were grateful for those of you who came by the trailer down on the boardwalk and braved the crowds. The weather was mostly perfect, except for the mid afternoon rain on Sat. as we were privileged to serve up over 250 plus shave ice.

We WILL HAVE OUR TAKE OUT WINDOW at 320 1st St. CB CLOSED today Tuesday through Wed. 9/9 as we recover, get to our shopping list and catch up on our tasks. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to serving you once we open again on Thurs. 9/10 and in the near future. We will be back to our regular hours being opened 8-5 PM M-Sat. starting this Thurs.

Come and enjoy the Shave Ice as we near the end of Summer. Don't forget to ask for the Ice Cream at the bottom of your shave ice and our popular Coconut Snow Cap on top. We hope you will agree that our Hawaiian Shave Ice are unlike any others you've tried and are second to none.

Try our Tropical Beverages with either Lemon Ginger Kombucha or Ginger Brew along with our featured premium syrups made from real fruit purees: Mango , Passion Fruit and Pineapple. They will quench your thirst and give you a perk.
Most likely you've never had anything like them.

Keep an eye out for our upcoming Hawaiian Coffee and new CREPES specials. We will also be featuring Dole Whip soft serve once again.

Aloha Community - GrandPa Hawaii Tropical Treats at 320 1st St. in CB will be closing our Take Out window 9/5 - 9/7 over the 3 day Labor Day weekend.

We will be operating our Mobile Trailer serving Shave Ice, Hot Dogs, Drinks, Cold Brew Coffee, etc. down on the boardwalk. Come visit us this weekend at our space on the boardwalk fronting the bathrooms, near the Riverboat complex.

We had fun this past Sunday being opened for part of the day and having people (and their Canine Freinds) come by for some tropical treats. Many Mahalos (Thanks) to Debbie Stachkunas for taking some great photos. We asked people to dress up in their "Aloha Attire", wear something tropical and come and have a treat. Hopefully we'll do it again in the near future.

NOTICE: GRANDPA HAWAII TROPICAL TREATS take out window at 320 1st ST. in Colonial Beach will be partially closed the next 2 days. We will be closed all day tomorrow THURSDAY 8/27 as well as the second half of the day on FRIDAY 8/28 FROM 12 NOON ON.

We will be selling Shave Ice from our Mobile Trailer at the CBHS Drifters 1st home football game at the HS Football Field FRIDAY NIGHT 8/28 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Come out to the game, get a Shave Ice and support our football team. "GO DRIFTERS".

We will reopen for regulars business hours 8 AM to 5 PM starting Monday 8/31.

We want to send out a Big MAHALO (thanks) to two young aspiring artists; HAILEE and HENSLEE (Thank you too, Delores). They came by our take out window the other day to drop off some of their original art. It is on display outside of our take out window here at GrandPa Hawaii Tropical Treats at 320 1st St. in CB.

Their art pcs. definitely adds to our tropical ambience. If you haven't visited our take out window and Hawaiian Garden yet, please do. We have a variety of tropical art pcs. on display amongst our tropical plants in our back garden area. There's benches and a picnic table for seating and it includes a Piano for the kids to play.

This coming SUNDAY 8/23, from 1-3 PM we will be doing a photo shoot in front of our Aloha / LOVE SIGN. We would like to invite any families to come and be a part of the photo shoot. Get a Soft Serve or Shave Ice (don't forget the Coconut Snowcap topping) and come enjoy it in front of our Aloha Mural and get your entire family's photo taken. Get your whole family to wear their "ALOHA ATTIRE" to complete the picture . So break out your favorite Aloha Shirt (or Muumuu for the ladies) dust off your Woven Palm Frond hat and wear your slippers and Surf gear.... The most creative family picture will be chosen to be published as part of a future promo.

Come join us on this Special Sunday Afternoon opening (8/23 FROM 1-3 PM ONLY). We're always closed on Sundays, but will be open only for this special afternoon photo shoot. Let's have FUN!
