Some moments just bring everything full circle. ❤️
K**a and Emily met here as high schoolers, when K**a started in our kitchen at just 16, working his way from dishwasher to learning every station, and Emily was hosting and running food and drinks. Nearly five years of working alongside them, six years of watching their love grow, and this past Saturday, we had the incredible honor of hosting their wedding right here where it all began.
And what made it even more special.... Having their family back here with us, alongside other former employees and even a few former colleagues from Whirlpool. Kat, Emily’s mom, who waited tables with us and who I worked with at Whirlpool, and Tyler, Morgan, KC, and Brandon ...Danielle, Bill, David, Yvonne, Dorian... the list could go on. These aren't just former employees and colleagues. They're family and friends that go way back - decades in some cases.
Watching this beautiful building, once our restaurant and now Aerie Commons, come alive with so much love, laughter, and camaraderie for people we love so dearly was something I will cherish forever.
What a beautiful reminder that while buildings, jobs and businesses may change, the family we create along the way remains.
