Now for the change of plans…

For the past two years, our friends at The Jack of Clubs have graciously allowed us to call their parking lot home. They rent the property themselves, and I want to make it VERY clear that this is not their decision and they are in no way responsible for what is happening.

Sadly, the property owner recently passed away, and the family who has taken over the property has decided they no longer want food trucks on the premises. We completely respect their decision, but that means our time in our little spot beside The Jack has come to an end.

So… what comes next?

Honestly, we’re not completely sure yet.

Maybe we find Philly’s & Co. a new permanent home. Maybe we change things up and focus more on events, parties, catering and pop-up locations. Maybe we create an entirely new weekly schedule.

We’re going to take this week off and figure out what makes the most sense for us and for Philly’s moving forward.

And honestly, with a week full of rain coming and the fair in town, if there was ever a good week to be forced into taking a minute to figure things out… apparently this is it. 🤣

There are no hard feelings and no anger here. Sometimes circumstances change and you simply figure out your next move.

The part that really does hurt is leaving our Jack of Clubs family. After two years of being there, they became so much more than our neighbors. They became our friends and our family, and we are going to miss being right there with them terribly. ❤️

But Philly’s & Co. isn’t going anywhere.

We may just look a little different from here.

Give us a few days to regroup, make some decisions and figure out what this next chapter looks like.

And as soon as we know where—or when—you can find us next, you guys will be the first to know. ❤️

Looks like we’ll be sticking pretty close to home this week with lots of rain headed our way again. Goodbye summer and apparently… hello spring?! 🤣

MONDAY — INOLA HIGH SCHOOL
We’ll be at the Inola FFA event starting at 4 PM and serving until whenever.

TUESDAY–THURSDAY — HOME
Lunch: 11–1:30
Dinner: 5–7

FRIDAY — HOME
Lunch: 11–1:30
Dinner: 5–9

SATURDAY — HOME
12–6

We’re set up at the Oologah Community Center for the Class of ’76 Reunion.

Well… change of plans for today. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The good news: our inspections went great! So no worries there we’re all good to go with a few small tweaks to be done with the AC. The bad news: apparently my truck felt left out of all the excitement and decided to start flashing warning lights at me on the way back. So instead of heading home to open for dinner, I am currently sitting at the shop.

Unfortunately, we will NOT be open today after all.

Sorry for the last-minute change, guys! I’ll see you all tomorrow morning for lunch! ❤️

We’ve got a busy week ahead with some trailer maintenance, inspections, and a little traveling!

TUESDAY — CLOSED
We’ll be resurfacing the trailer floor and getting her all freshened up.

WEDNESDAY
Closed for lunch for our LP Gas & Fire Marshal inspections.
Dinner at home: 5–7 PM

THURSDAY — HOME
Lunch: 11–2 PM
Dinner: 5–7 PM

FRIDAY
Lunch at Norris Rods: 11:30–1 PM
Dinner at home: 5–9 PM

SATURDAY
We’ll be at Claremore Lake for lunch at the Route 66 Cruisers 18th Annual Car & Motorcycle Show!

Then we’ll head to Oologah Community Center for dinner from 5–9 PM.

Lots going on this week, so make sure you catch us somewhere along the way!

Okay, important end-of-the-week question…We’ve always called these jalapeño butts. But ARE they actually the butt?? 🤔 Because technically…the stem is attached there, which would make this the TOP of the jalapeño. So have we been calling jalapeño heads jalapeño butts this entire time?! And more importantly…do they belong on your cheesesteak?

Well… I guess I’ll quit watching Lizzie Borden shows on Netflix and freaking myself out and come feed y’all dinner instead. 👀😂
