One of the sweetest things I’ve experienced as a baker is when a family chooses me as their cake lady. Having the opportunity to bake for multiple events a yea- over the course of years is truly an honor. I’ve made several cakes for sweet Abigail and this year was given a very simple prompt of “craft theme”. I LoVE being trusted to use my creativity and as a crafty girlie myself this is what came to mind. A basket of crafts! A bit of yarn, some pencils, paint brushes, buttons, beads and glitter! This was my first attempt at a woven basket cake and while I’m sure I could work on its tidiness, the effect came out exactly as I hoped.
