We recently received an incredible message recognizing one of our drivers from store 8045 in Willis, Paul
Here is what was sent to us by Howard Wood, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former Mayor Pro Tem of Conroe, Texas.

Throughout my years in public service, I had the privilege of seeing first responders and everyday citizens demonstrate incredible courage and compassion. Recently, I learned a story involving one of your employees that I simply could not keep to myself.
For years, Paul Brower delivered pizzas to a customer named Scott Schneider. As often happens in smaller communities, those deliveries became conversations. Paul learned about Scott’s family, including his daughters and their passion for volleyball. Scott looked forward to seeing Paul, and over time, they became genuine friends.
Then, on a rainy afternoon, Scott was involved in a devastating automobile accident. His truck left the roadway, and he was ejected into a concrete drainage ditch, suffering life-threatening injuries.
By an extraordinary coincidence, the first person to arrive at the scene was Paul.
Without hesitation, Paul rushed to Scott’s aid. He stayed with him, kept him calm, did everything he could to protect him, and remained by his side until emergency responders arrived.
Only after reaching him did Paul realize the injured man wasn’t a stranger.
It was Scott.
The customer he had been delivering pizzas to for years.
I’ve thought about that moment many times.
Out of every road in Montgomery County…out of every driver who could have come upon that accident…it was someone Scott knew, trusted, and considered a friend.
As someone who has spent years serving this community, I find that incredibly powerful. We often talk about customer service, but this was something much deeper. This was a relationship built through years of simple conversations at a customer’s front door that ultimately became a lifeline during one of the worst moments imaginable.
Paul wasn’t looking for recognition. He didn’t stop because he knew Scott. He stopped because someone needed help. Discovering it was his friend only made the moment even more remarkable.
I wanted your leadership team to know about the character of one of your employees. Paul Brower represents the very best of your company and the very best of our community. His actions remind us that the people who wear a Domino’s uniform don’t just deliver pizzas—they build relationships, strengthen communities, and sometimes, when fate intervenes, they help save a life.
I hope you’ll consider recognizing Paul for his extraordinary compassion and selfless actions. Stories like this deserve to be told.
