Tonight I informed Brad that I had the steaks “dry aging” in the refrigerator.
Apparently this is Serious Meat Business and I was immediately interrogated.
“Did you flip them?” “Did you change the paper towels?” “Have you been tending to them??”
Sir.
I put them on a rack so the air could circulate like a normal person. Then I told him I blow dried them first so they’d be extra dry before aging.
Y’all… the LOOK on this man’s face. 😂
I thought he was about to file a report with the USDA.
For a solid 30 seconds he genuinely believed I was standing in the kitchen giving ribeyes a salon-quality blowout.
Meanwhile I’m over here proud of myself for successfully rattling the only man I know who treats beef like a neonatal ICU patient. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
