Ranger Ben helped us cut a ribbon in celebration of the East Entrance being open for the season! Thanks to Rod, owner of Grub Steak Expeditions/Tour Yellowstone, taking the time to drive us to the gate and, to step on tour guide and local historian Bob Richard for the wonderful facts and tidbits he gave us along the way. Drive the 52 miles from Cody, WY to the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park for the best chances of wildlife sightings...you just might spot a bear, or elk, or bighorn sheep like our group did! Always be safe when wildlife spotting and do not approach the wildlife.
