Tonight we're learning how to "run ball". That is the old fashioned way of saying make lead balls for your muzzle loading rifle from raw lead. This is very similar to what they did in the movie Patriot, when he made balls from the toy soldiers. Hope to see you there!

Tonight we will be at Camp Chance in Port Saint John, at the end of Ranch Road (just off Falcon Blvd.). If it is raining, we’ll have an alternate activity under the pavilion. If it is pouring, or lightning or dangerous for you to attend, do not come.

Mosquitos are most always present there, so repellant is a good idea. We have some to share.

Next weekend, May 26 I'll be teaching the Hunter Safety Online Completion Class at the Titusville Rifle and Pistol Club. If you want to enroll, go to this link... http://myfwc.com/hunting/safety-education/courses/

The traditional hunter safety course covers the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to be a safe hunter. This is a 12-hour classroom setting, test and 3-hour range.

Tomorrow night Mosquito Lagoon Muzzleloaders will wrap up the rifle unit. As an alternate rainy day plan, we'll learn how to clean guns indoors.
