I can’t thank everyone enough for all the love and support we have received through this crisis. It’s just not possible...but I can try!

I’d love to spread a little joy to everyone in this community with a free slice of cake this weekend! Just come on in. There’s no purchase limit. Just a free slice. 1 per person until sold out.

We may not have every single item in the case (we are tirelessly working to it) but we will have a LOT of what we do have!

STRONGER TOGETHER 🫶

Thank you to everyone who has donated or shared our gofundme. I cry every time a notification pops up that someone has donated or shared it. The generosity of my little home town has been overwhelming.

Thank you to the CBPD, the CBFD, and the city workers. Had they not responded before a 911 call even went through, the damage could have been much much worse.

Thank you to Mo and Kelly for the love and support through all of this. They’re dealing with their own disaster and both of them never miss a call. I truly have the best landlords one could ask for and that alone is priceless. Please consider helping them out through their gofundmes as well.

Thank you to all of my amazing, loyal customers and local businesses for reaching out. From getting random hugs in the grocery store to comped meals and donations. None of this was expected but you all have come through for JFB and The Tiny Turtle in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Thank you to my staff for their patience. The economy is hard and most people are 1 missing paycheck away from being homeless and they have been nothing but supportive and will eventually be made whole.

Thank you to my partner, Gus, for keeping my head above water when I start to drown. He’s my rock.

And lastly. A huge thank you to my Dad, Brian. No one has worked harder than him trying to get both buildings back up and running. He’s been diligently calling the city, insurance companies, lawyers and the fire marshal all to see what is going on- pretty much hourly. He is taking care of everything I can’t even comprehend and I can’t be more grateful for such a supportive father right now. Dad, I love you so much.

We are still without power. From what I am hearing, the city and FPL are working hard to try and get it back up today.

What happens when we gain power back?
First and foremost, we have to ensure all of our equipment works. We were in the middle of business hours when the fire started- everything was turned on; my beautiful espresso machine, the fryer hood, the cases, the coolers, the mixers…

If everything works, the next step is to bring our employees in to clean and sanitize everything from the smoke. If any equipment got electrical damage, our next step would be to get it all fixed. Then I have to order our ingredients (~10k) for us to bake and start everything from scratch.

Our ingredients are not bought from 1 company. I source our ingredients from 12 different companies. This will take time.

Starting tomorrow, I will be calling and responding to everyone who has reached out for future orders and those who have an order in the next two weeks. Orders that are placed will be fulfilled unless otherwise spoken to- you will also be called to discuss a 2 hour pick up window for your order.

Thankfully, as of this moment, we have a plan to get our orders and wedding cakes(!!!!) out for this weekend.

Once we have everything we need ingredient wise, it should take us ~roughly~ a week to restock our product so we can open to the public.

With all that being said, please keep us in your heart, prayers, good vibes. We need it!
