So, this is my favorite day. I love to post old pictures. This one goes back a long way. I bet I was about four here. I remember this day so clearly. What you can’t see is that I am wearing a skort. It was a combination of a skirt and shorts. This was my parents car. I don’t know the year and I can’t read what’s on the side. But if anyone knows, I would love to know what kind of car this is. It’s a beautiful color and the old inspection sticker on it, or that’s what I think it is is really neat. You can see the fancy houses across the street. Those were the twins or some people called them semi detached. This was also taken on Knorr Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. North east section of Philly. I could take a bus from my corner and be in Philadelphia and about 20 minutes with stops. And I used to do that starting when I was about 12. ❤️

Not sure why they called the dog days of summer. It could be the cat days of summer. I do think it affects us all. I have been laying low cause it is way too hot to bake. Plus, there is some work being done on the house, so at the moment I am awaiting some repairs. Sorry if this inconveniences anyone. I will keep you all posted. I can still recall the bicentennial celebration we had. I was living in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Obviously it was 1976. We lived in an old Victorian house close to the river. It was right after the big flood. There was a waterline on our ceiling, which were 13 foot high. Another chapter in the book.🫐🍒🍒🫐🇺🇸🇺🇸

This was a former professor of mine from Philadelphia College of Art. He taught me drawing. He also taught me how to see. It sounds simple, but it’s really not. He was an amazing man and a wonderful person. So warm and sweet with a funny sense of humor. He died a couple of days ago at the age of 93. I always called him my mentor. Funny thing when my children were young we belonged to a swim club called Beachcomber out near Bluebell in Montgomery County. The background of the swim club itself is very interesting, but maybe for another time. The fact is one day I was walking the horseshoe courts and I saw two men playing horseshoes. And I said to myself wow that looks like Gene Baguskas, my old teacher. It actually was and the other man was another teacher, Boris Pasternak. They were wearing shorts and socks and sandals. And I’m like can’t be. But I went up to him and I said, "I think I know you." And he said he remembered me and from that moment, we became friends. Our families were friends and our kids were friends. We ate dinner at each other‘s houses and had some really nice times. Time passed, they moved to the West Coast, I moved here and we lost touch. But today I am saddened.  my sympathies to his wife, Barbara, and his children. The world has truly lost a great artist and a sweet man.
