We owe a BIG thank you to Dixie Lawn & Landscaping Inc for their donation and support of the Mule Barn Showdown!

And we also owe them an apology because SOMEONE failed to include them in our original thank-you post.

We won’t name names.

It was Candace.

Absolutely Candace. 😂

Dixie Landscaping, thank you for jumping in, supporting this crazy little idea, and helping us make the Showdown such a fun community event. We truly appreciate you and definitely didn’t want your generosity to go unrecognized.

Well… that was an absolutely WILD ride. 😂

And, after all of that, the Mule Barn Showdown ended in the closest race we’ve had yet.

FINAL SCORE:
Daniel Cape 465
Matt Fordham 422

Which means DANIEL WON… by just 43 drinks.

And y’all, for most of today, that did NOT look like where this was headed.

Matt’s team came out SWINGING.

Robert Smith with RS Custom Homes and TENTH HOUSE •The Consignment Shop• bought 125 Matts and sent drinks to the schools.

Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman jumped in for Matt. with an order for 50

And THEN Becky Colson Mullis with Good Thing Realty bought 50 Matts for Bleckley Memorial Hospital

AND THEN THEN Brian Bazemore ordered 25 to The Citizens Bank of Cochran & Community Bank of Dublin-Laurens County

Matt had a HUGE lead.

BUT THEN Late this afternoon another donor sent 12 Daniels over to the Office of the Sheriff - Bleckley County GA

And then, in the final stretch, Daniel got a last-minute anonymous order that completely changed the race.

Somehow, after weeks of trash talk, surprise orders, ridiculous videos, community deliveries, and people calling in reinforcements from everywhere… Daniel pulled it off.

But the best part?

Hunting For The Cure will receive $1,200.
Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc will receive $1,800.

That’s $3,000 going back out into the community because y’all decided to have a little fun with us.

Thank you to every single person who bought a drink, shared a post, picked a side, stirred the pot, sent drinks somewhere, or just followed along and laughed with us.

And Matt and Daniel… thank you for being such good sports and giving us weeks of entertainment

Now, unfortunately…

we have to return to our regularly scheduled Mule Barn posts.

Which honestly feels very disappointing.

What are we supposed to do now? Just post coffee pictures like normal people??

We are genuinely going to miss the videos, the trash talk, and all the chaos. ❤️

Until the next bad idea…

⏰ 20 MINUTES UNTIL THE MULE BARN SHOWDOWN FINALE STARTS

And ummm…

Team Daniel Cape may want to start making some phone calls. 😂

We’ve had some BIG Matt orders roll in today and let’s just say…

Matt Fordham is WAYYYYY ahead right now. 😳

But this thing is not over until it’s over.

Daniel and Matt hit the bar at 5:30 PM, and you’ve got until 7:30 PM to help your guy, support two great charities, and possibly create the comeback of the century. 😂

Team Daniel… 👀
You coming to save your sheriff or what??

🚨 BREAKING: THE DANIEL CAMPAIGN HAS NOW ENTERED THE REAL ESTATE MARKET. 🚨

Today, Laura Johnson Branham with The Laura Branham Team - Landmark Realty ordered 40 DANIELS and had them delivered to our friends at At Home Senior Living and Bryant Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Apparently Laura took one look at this race and said:

“Location, location, location.” 😂

And Daniel’s campaign now officially has:

Lawyers ✅
First responders ✅
School bus drivers ✅
International support from Germany ✅
Our assisted living communities ✅
And now a REALTOR strategically placing beverages all over town. ✅

Honestly, Matt, this is getting concerning.

Daniel isn’t just campaigning anymore.

He has representation. 😂

Laura out here closing deals, moving inventory, and helping Daniel gain 40 new “properties” on the scoreboard in a single afternoon.

MATT.

Sir.

You may want to contact a lender because at this point you are going to need financing for a comeback. 😂

And Daniel, don’t start measuring for curtains at the winner’s circle just yet. This deal has NOT CLOSED.

Tomorrow is the FINAL WALK-THROUGH. 👀

🚨 WE HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST CONTROL OF THE SHOWDOWN.

Today, Sikes Electric ordered 70 DANIELS and sent them out to the
Office of the Sheriff - Bleckley County GA, Bleckley County Fire Dept, CochranBleckley 911 Information Cochran Police Department, Cochran Fire & Emergency Services, Heartland Emergency Medical Services, Inc.!

Basically, if you have a badge, a radio, a firetruck, an ambulance, or know how to respond to an emergency… Daniel found you. 😂

And THEN his little sister Sarah Cape, from ALL THE WAY IN GERMANY, ordered 30 MORE DANIELS for our school bus drivers Bleckley County Schools.

So yes. The campaign has now gone international. 🇩🇪😂

That is 100 Daniels in one shot.

Also, Candace would like it formally noted that she broke a nail delivering these, so the sacrifices being made for this campaign are now both civic and cosmetic. 😂💅

MATT.

Sir.

We are no longer asking you to campaign.

We are asking you to catch up.

Daniel Capel has first responders, school bus drivers, overseas support, and apparently a full logistics operation behind him.

At this point, Matt Fordham, we need to know one thing:

Do you need a bigger horse? 😂

Because that little bouncy one is STRUGGLING.

Tomorrow morning, our community will come together to remember the lives lost on September 11 and to honor the first responders who continue to serve us every day. 🇺🇸
If you’d like to join the 9/11 Memorial Walk, firefighters will leave the Cochran Fire Department at 10:28 AM this Friday and walk to the Bleckley County football field. Firefighters will walk in gear, and members of the public are invited to walk behind them in support.
And as a small way of saying thank you every day (not just this week) The Mule Barn is proud to always offer 10% off to law enforcement and first responders. ❤️🤍💙
We hope you’ll come out, walk with them, and help our community remember.

Never forget.

Okay, okay… apparently our recent posts have led to accusations that we are plotting against Sheriff Daniel Cape. 😂

So for the record: WE LOVE DANIEL TOO.

He has been a great sport through every bit of this craziness, and he is still fighting hard for Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc which is exactly what this whole thing is about.

And Daniel, being down by 25 is hardly a reason to panic. Around here, apparently all it takes is one determined friend with a credit card and a point to prove. 😂

So if you’re Team Daniel, now would be a VERY good time to show up for him.

And if you’re Team Matt Fordham… well, I’m sure you’ll be there too.

🤠 YOU’RE INVITED TO THE MULE BARN SHOWDOWN GRAND FINALE
📅 September 16
⏰ 5:00–7:30 PM
📍 The Mule Barn – Cochran

Daniel and Matt will both be there serving as guest baristas, we’ll have the final push for both charities, and we fully expect at least a little trash talk before this thing is over.

Come grab a drink, bring a friend, support a great cause, and help us finish this Showdown the way it deserves WITH A CROWD.

Daniel, we believe in you. Mostly because losing to Matt after all this would be unbearable.

🚨 WELL. THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY. 🚨

Attorney Rob Fricks with The Fricks Law Firm woke up today and chose chaos. 😂

Rob ordered 65 MATTS and had them delivered directly into Daniel’s territory including the Sheriff’s Office of the Sheriff - Bleckley County GA, Cochran Police Department , Cochran Fire & Emergency Services & Bleckley County Fire Dept, City Council, County Commissioner, Judges, Tag Office, Tax Office, Building Inspector, Tax Assessors Office, Bleckley County Board of Elections and Registration, Superior Court Clerk’s Office AND 911.

Basically, if you work in local government today, there’s a decent chance Rob Fricks sent you a strawberry lemonade just to personally ruin Daniel’s afternoon. 😂
Some might even call this a hostile takeover.

And those 65 drinks changed EVERYTHING.

🤠 Matt Fordham IS OFFICIALLY BACK IN FIRST PLACE.
🐾 Daniel is now trailing by 25 votes.

Every Matt supports Hunting For The Cure 🎗️
Every Daniel supports Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc 🐾

We started with coffee and charity. Somehow we have arrived at lawyers, guns, and money. Cochran really does know how to escalate a fundraiser.

Daniel Cape… you gonna let him do you like that? 👀

09/07/2026

It’s Labor Day, it’s almost lunch, and somebody had to stay open. 😂
Lucky for you, it’s us.
The Mule Barn Cochran is OPEN today!!!! come grab lunch, coffee, orrrr help support Matt Fordham and his charity Hunting For The Cure by ordering the MATT, philanthropy tastes a lot like a strawberry lemonade today ❤️
