25 years ago today, where were you?
I myself was just North of Philadelphia heading to Deptford NJ to meet a truck at the mall that was delivering fixtures for a store. When the first plane hit I called my wife asking her to turn on the news. At that time it felt odd that a plane could hit a building that large. When the second plane hit, I knew at that moment we were under attack and called every family member I knew. Between the other two planes and Towers falling, there was a lot of anger and a little fear flooded my heart. Looking at the smoke coming from Manhattan and seeing firetruck after firetruck preparing to head into the city, I felt sick to my stomach. I will never forget that day. Sorry I kept this brief, but I really want to know how you felt that day.

Sorry about the late notice but we'll be closed this Wednesday September 9th. We're beat, all of us. It was a very fun weekend, buy how you wore us out is amazing. Thank you to everyone. As of Friday I had more than 1500 lbs of brisket and the last of it is getting smoked tonight. I will not have pulled pork tomorrow, I was shorted one case, and we blew through the rest of it fast. Again thank you and we appreciate everyone!

It looks like one more week of closing on Wednesday. We're still having issues with the drains. I've been snaking out paper towels and fragments of diapers. Last week a large portion of the drain was replaced. This this week I,m going to clear the drain out and run a camera down to make sure there isn't a Crack or a busted pipe. I don't think it's a busted drain, because we didn't have any issues on a busy Friday. Sorry to all those that planned on coming up this Wednesday.

We will be closed tomorrow, we've had issues with the drains for the bathrooms. We're not sure what is going on yet, but I'll need a couple of days.

Wednesday July 29th we'll be closed to get a day with the kids before school starts the following week.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 24th... we'll be closed to give us time to get a few things done before July.

If you showed up Sunday and we were sold out, I apologize. I had a feeling we would be busier then last year, just not that much busier. I want to thank the crew for busting their asses!

For awhile now, I've been thinking about been where I'm at in life and where my father was when he was my age and all of his amazing accomplishments. The conflicts/wars he was involved in, he's willingness to put his life in danger not just for his family but for your families. Here I am slinging BBQ. My thoughts of my father led me to start thinking about the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for not only my family but for yours. These brave people weren't just our countrymen. They're our brothers and sisters. They're our mothers and fathers, and they believed in something greater than themselves. I love these people, I thank them for believing in this country with it's flaws. God bless our troops, God bless those who gave their lives for us, and God bless America!

Okay, I'll try this again. The first time I had posted, I advised we'll be closed 10 months from now instead of in a fews days. I think that's proof that I need at least a full day off. I hope everyone has a good weekend and thank you in advance for being patient with with us and the other businesses in the village.

Welcome Back Artemis II.
Thank You Emma, Dave, Aurora, and Diana for the NASA patches! It was really cool to meet this amazing family and I truly need to get better at sending out thank you letters (one of my biggest faults). What an an exciting time, to be able to watch the beginning of space travel that takes us further away than the moon. Bless the heroes on Artemis II and may they have a safe reentry! Thank You to all of NASA for all your amazing hard work.

We will be closed Tuesday.

OCEC crews will be taking an outage to replace a structure on the transmission line that feeds the Cloudcroft Substation on March 17, 2026 from 9 AM to 4 PM. All members in Cloudcroft, Timberon, Pinon, W**d, Mayhill, Sacramento, James Canyon, and Hwy. 244 coming out of Cloudcroft will be without power during this time.

A structure on the transmission line feeding the Cloudcroft Substation must be replaced after being vandalized by gunfire.
