Dear DFB Family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Bobby “BJ” Allen.

He was an icon of Dietz/Golden Corral since 1989, known lovingly as The Legend. He was always kind and welcoming to everyone that came in. He would tease anyone that was a football fan of any team but his beloved Cowboys. Especially after the November game when the Cowboys beat the Chiefs. No matter how tired he was, if we were down someone in dish, he went back there to help or come in on his day off, up until his final weeks.

None of us know this restaurant without him, as he preceded my ownership. He was one of a kind and there will be a huge void in the restaurant now.

Our thoughts are with his family in this difficult time.

Rest in Peace Legend.
