Meet Teresa! Teresa moved to SC from NY four years ago this week! She has three children, two grandchildren, and has been married to her husband, Ben, for 32 years! She loves to garden, decorate, cook, travel, find neat restaurants, walk through antique stores, and spend time with her family and two dogs. She loves to repurpose and up cycle old furniture and other antiques. She owned her own antique store in NY and has three booths at antique stores here in SC - one at my husband’s shop, Broad Street Antiques, where you can also see her working some, one at Perfectly Imperfect, and another one at Po’ Dunk Holler.

We are excited to have Teresa join us here behind the counter as a barista! She will work regularly on Monday afternoons and fill in at other times.

Because I am training two new employees and updating some things, we will have a limited menu for the month of June. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as they get familiar with everything and learn all the many things we offer. Also, I know many of you were used to Susanna and I knowing your regular order, but please try to remember it or ask me so you can tell Teresa and Ashley.

We look forward to having both Teresa and Ashley here! Ashley will be working by herself today, so go say hey and let her make you a good drink! Then come meet Teresa Monday afternoon! Thank you all for everything! Have a great weekend!

☕️ Meet Ashley!! ☕️

Many of you may recognize her as a regular customer here at The Vestibule or from her previous jobs. I’m so excited to have her here!! She is working this afternoon and will be working tomorrow as well. Normally you can find her working here Monday mornings, Friday afternoons, and most Saturdays. She’ll also be working some at my husband’s antique store, Broad Street Antiques! Here is an introduction from her, so you can all get to know her:

“First and foremost, I’m a mom to two amazing kids who are my biggest motivation in everything I do. They’ve taught me the importance of patience, hard work, and showing up every day with purpose.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in several roles that have shaped me both personally and professionally. From working at Sunshine City Tanning & Boutique, being involved with First Baptist Preschool, fostering animals for our local shelter, and serving as a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 23 years, each experience has allowed me to connect with and give back to my community in different ways.

I’ve always enjoyed helping others, building relationships, and being part of something meaningful. Whether it’s through customer service, community involvement, or volunteering, I try to bring dedication, compassion, and a positive attitude into everything I do.

I’m excited for this next chapter and grateful for every experience that has helped lead me here. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow, meeting new people, and embracing the opportunities ahead with the same passion and commitment I’ve carried throughout every season of my life.”

Susanna will be working this afternoon and all day Monday before she begins her new job. Please come see her. We sure will miss her!!! She has been such a great part of The Vestibule family for over two years now. She’s been a huge help as my only employee, especially taking care of the shop when I was traveling so much. I really appreciate all that she has done and she has been like a daughter to me as well. She’s also the creator of some super popular drinks such as the tiramisu caramel cloud and the bee loved! I know she will continue to do great things at her spa, The Marie Method Beauty Bar, and with everything that her future holds. Here’s a little trip down memory lane.

We love you and will miss you, Susanna!

I’m sorry for the short notice, but we are having maintenance on our espresso machine this afternoon. We will still have hot drip coffee, iced coffee, cold brew, and smoothies, but not anything that requires espresso from about 2:00-close.

🎓 Congratulations to all graduates!! We have enjoyed getting to know all of you these past few years and will miss you! We wish you all the best! Bring you families to see us tomorrow and get a discount on your order! We’d love to see you one more time and help you celebrate!

🎓Micah’s senioritis special is also back for graduation month! This is green mint and strawberry to represent Clinton’s red and Laurens’ green. It is a unique combination that is really good!

🐝 Bee Loved has been a huge hit since Susanna came up with it! The blend of honey and toffee nut is great for Spring. 🍯

If you didn’t already know, Susanna is an esthetician and has her own spa, The Marie Method Beauty Bar. She does a wonderful job, so go check her out! She is about to move on to another job that will help her further her education, experience, and be able to add more offerings to her spa. While she is looking forward to what the future will bring, she hates to leave the coffee shop. Susanna has been a huge part of The Vestibule for the past two years! I am so thankful to have had her here and will definitely miss her. I know many of you feel the same way. She will be working this Friday afternoon, Monday and Friday afternoons of next week, and then all day on Monday the 18th, which will be her last day. I wanted to let you know so you could come see her before she leaves! She plans to still come visit often!

I already have new hires in place. I always have a lot of people ask if I am hiring and while I had not planned on it until recently, everything fell into place to fill what I was looking for. I do appreciate your interest, but I like to have only one or two baristas at a time and for them be able to work a very specific, consistent schedule all year. I will introduce them to you in the coming weeks! In the meantime, come let Susanna make you one of her super popular bee loved lattes before she leaves!
