Sad to see them go but happy for them.

We have an Announcement to make but first a short story...
Back in July I (Amy) went through some medical issues which made me think "what is really important". I continue to go through some testing, which is one of the reasons we closed this past weekend, but I believe we have it under control now and I am on the path to being myself again. But again, it made me start thinking... between my full time job and Backroad Antiques, do I really want to work 7 days a week like I have done for the last 6 years. Do I want to miss family events, do I want to miss my grand children's sporting and school events, do I want to put my family second even though I try my hardest to make it all work? The short answer is No...It was a very hard decision, one that Randy and I stand united on, but we have decided to close Backroad Antiques at the end of 2026. December 20th will be our last day open for you.
I'm not getting out of the Vintage/Antique world all together though, we are going to become Vendors at an area Antique shop that I absolutely love and hope you will follow our journey.
This has been an AMAZING 6 years and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to meet each of you, that you were able to see us go from our attached to the house double car garage to what we are now! Man, what a Journey! A friend said this to me "I feel like God puts people/events in your life for a reason" and man I feel that to the core!
So, THANK YOU, for going on this Journey with me and trusting in me for your Treasures! I never thought what we started would turn into what it is now!
I hope you will continue to follow Backroad Antiques and that we are 1 of your Treasure Hunting spots until December!
All our Vendors, except 2, are going to be with us until our last day. So we will have plenty of Treasures for You to check out! And new Treasures continue to get added every weekend as well!
