Where has the summer gone? The last whole hog we cooked was way back in April. Don't fret though we have another one coming atcha this Wednesday August 30 at starting at 6:30pm. However, this is NOT a Shinto's pop up.

As many of you know my day job is as the head Butcher of Marrow Detroit. This will be a Marrow event that I'll be cooking a pig for, and the talented chefs there will be in control of the sides!

Thank you all for coming out to the pop up at Saturday! It was awesome as always to feed the fam.

It's the dog days of summer so we're going to take some time off of pop ups. Family beach days, camping, and some cool events at my day job are what will be filling up the August schedule.

Tomorrow is the 6th year anniversary for our friends at and we were honored when they asked us to come out for it. We've been popping up there since the beginning and are proud to see how far they've come!

For this special occasion we are dusting off and polishing up some old menu items we used to serve there back in the day. So come on out between 3-7pm (you know you gotta come early right?) and fill your face with some Shinto's classics.
