A ray of electronic sunshine comes out every Monday through the magic of the Heirlooms Gazette.

Just over 5 ½ years in the making and after 337 e-blasts, the Gazette is known for zany jokes, small town news, and events for folks who like to live in the Alleghany Highlands. Originated by Roy and Ann Wright, the Gazette was originally an advertising medium for Heirlooms Café & Catering of Clifton Forge. For a small café, it became obvious that big advertising budgets were infeasible and that social media was the key to informing local folks about upcoming lunch specials. Once the owners retired in 2014 after 11years in Clifton Forge, the Gazette became a vehicle to advertise events in the Highlands and to brag about the great quality of life we enjoy here. The Gazette has been forwarded to a nuclear submarine, as far east as Nepal in the Himalyas. The motto for the Gazette is, simply,
“Don’t fret the petty things, and don’t pet the sweaty things”
