A farewell letter from Cafe Phix
Dear valued friends, employees, and guests of Café Phix
It is with humble gratitude and a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Cafe Phix MidTown. Having owned and operated the café for 10 years both in MidTown and South Euclid this has been an exceedingly difficult and emotional decision and I am so sad to say goodbye. Many of you have followed our little café through good and tough times. And just so you know, this is not a “tough times” moment. Though we are officially closing on Friday July, 28th, the café will continue under new ownership. I have a date for when the new owner will open at MidTown but I will let you know when I have more information.
I would like to thank our staff, past and present, for being such an integral part of my business and for helping us to provide so many wonderful experiences for our numerous customers over the years.
As for what is next for me... I will be joining Tenisha Gant Watson, CEO of Jordan Community Resource Center, on the planning and ex*****on of Nia Café. Nia Café is just one facet of Oasis in the City, a project is currently in the planning phase, that will provide a wide range of services designed to enhance overall well-being, focusing on mental health support and substance use disorder. The center will also plan to serve as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation. Nia’s Café, a full-service café, and coffee shop will double as a workforce development initiative. A business that is poised to highlight the transformative power of entrepreneurial spirit within the community.
I am so excited to be a part of this project and lend my expertise to an organization that values community, entrepreneurship, and overall health and wellness.
I will post our progress on Nia’s Café as we move from the planning stage to the development stage. Thank you again for all your support!
