Whoa! Always ALWAYS a great time at the Mississippi Crappie Compound Crappie Compound Adventures with Doug Hollowell, Les Smith, and our ole buddy from Louisiana John Godwin! This yearly event is invitation only and features the top crappie fisherman across the nation - They all converge on Como, MS and spend a week fishing the big 3 lakes (Enid, Sardis, Grenada) during the week. They eat good all week but always look forward to the BBQ Social at the end of the week. This is a great group of guys; they are like one big family and it’s always our pleasure to roll in and lay out a great spread for them… Thank you Doughboy Recreational for sponsoring the dinner and bringing us back each year to be part of y’alls awesome week!
And again…I may or may not have made off with a gallon bag or two of crappie filets! 😍
Also - Thank you to the group for setting the empty seat in memory of our great friend Ron Wong. I don’t know that I ever met a guy that loved fishing more than Ron. He was also a hell of a cook and an awesome photographer. He is surely missed!
