Due to a recent issue regarding a credit card transaction…. PLEASE READ

It has come to my attention that an error was made on a recent customers ticket. Two orders in the same amount were placed within 10 minutes of each other. One left a $2.00 tip in cash, the other, a $2.00 tip on the credit card. The $2.00 credit card tip was added to the cash tip ticket in error. The customer brought this to Diana’s attention and she pulled the tickets. And realized the error. Once the error was found we contacted the credit card company and they explained that when a tip is left on a card the original transaction will be cancelled and a new transaction with the tip will automatically generate from the system and can take 24 to 48 hours to process through the customers bank. The customer has said that Diana was making excuses for this happening. It was not an excuse when she was just trying to explain to him how the system works and he would not stop talking long enough to understand what happened. Let me assure everyone that no transaction can physically be done on your credit card without the physical card on a different date. The customer refused to listen and was even offered a complete refund in cash. He refused, and was asked to leave the diner and not come back and caused a disturbance in the diner.

If you ever have any issues with a transaction, please contact the diner immediately and we WILL MAKE IT RIGHT.

Mistakes happen and none of us are perfect, but we want everyone to be treated fairly and honestly.

This customer has made a post on Facebook regarding this issue. Diana has pulled the cameras and if they want to continue this slander then legal actions could be taken.

Also… if you do hear about this from said “customer” … consider your source.
