Petersburg and beyond since 2007. Specializing in portraits, corporate events & photo restoration. Jonathan Fanning is an award-winning photographic artist. Petersburg, FL, his background includes studies in digital photography, business management and marketing. He was first introduced and developed a passion for photography in 2005 while in high school. In 2008, Jonathan graduated from Pinellas

Technical Education Center. and University of South Florida earning his degree in business with a minor in marketing. He competed in the 2008 SkillsUSA photography competition and was awarded first place in both regional and state and went on to win fifth place in the National competition in Kansas City. He has been among the TAPPA Top Ten Photographers for 2009 and 2010. He has been nationally published. When Jonathan is not behind the camera he spends his time with his lovely wife Krystol. He enjoys hiking, traveling, trying new restaurants and micro-brews. It is Jonathan’s passion to preserve memories to be passed on for generations and generations.

I recently had the distinct privilege of creating images for The Ocean Race during an intimate kickoff event at the The Dalí Museum , celebrating the upcoming 2027 edition of this incredible global sailing competition.

For those unfamiliar, The Ocean Race spans more than 30,000 nautical miles and begins in Alicante, Spain, in January 2027. St. Pete-Clearwater has been selected as the only North American stop on the race route, making this a truly historic opportunity for our community.

The teams will arrive from Itajaí, Brazil, before departing St. Pete on a transatlantic leg bound for Cascais, Portugal. During the stopover, the region will host a Race Village featuring public events, entertainment, and interactive experiences on a scale comparable to the St. Pete Grand Prix.

It was exciting to be part of an evening that marked the beginning of what will undoubtedly be a world-class event for our area. I look forward to seeing the energy, excitement, and international attention The Ocean Race brings to St. Pete-Clearwater in 2027.
