Non-profit organizations now have two ways to apply by April 15, 2026 to be on the ballot for the 2026 Community Harvest.

This year, applicants can submit their group for consideration:
* Digitally
Using the online form here:
https://bit.ly/2026communityharvest
* By mail:
(Details are here: https://www.1905familyofrestaurants.com/communityharvest

For the entire month of September, dining at any 1905 Family Of Restaurants location means more than just a meal as part of Community Harvest.

For our guests, the process during that month is simple: Choose a charity from a ballot that’s provided with the check. The restaurant calculates the 5 percent and provides the charity with gift certificates that can be used at any of the restaurants for up to 12 months.

There’s no additional cost to the guest.

In the 28 years of our Community Harvest, the Gonzmart family has donated more than $4.8 million in gift certificates to more than 100 non-profit organizations across Florida.

No matter how many years your non-profit group has participated of if you’re a new applicant, all charities must apply each year by the April 15 deadline in order to be considered
Charities which did not actively promote Community Harvest in previous years could be dropped from the program.

By June or so, we’ll announce which charities have been accepted for our 29th anniversary year.

Certificates (accepted at the Columbia, Cha Cha Coconuts, Ulele and Casa Santo Stefano locations) typically are mailed in late November or early December and are good for one year.

Please note: The requesting organization must be in the same city, or an adjacent city, to a 1905 Family Of Restaurants brand location.

Eat well. Do good.

Great news! Columbia Sand Key’s dining room and bar reopen at 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday on Clearwater Beach!

The waterfront patio will not be available for outdoor dining until repairs are made to the deck. Extreme wind from Hurricane Helene sheared the new awning from the exterior wall. Also, a sailboat ran aground next to the restaurant. There is no estimate yet when outdoor dining will resume.

The bright side: The dining room is much sunnier! 🌞

Noche Buena is a Spanish word which translates to “The Good Night” and refers to the Christmas Eve family dinners celebrated by Latin American cultures (as well as in Spain, the Philippines and Pacific islands).

Succulent roasted pig, or lechon, is traditionally the centerpiece of the meal, especially in Cuban-American homes, along with several side dishes.

The Columbia Restaurant is taking orders for a family-style Curbside Noche Buena/Christmas Takeout meal. This is in addition to our Christmas Day holiday dining (make your reservations at http://ColumbiaRestaurant.com) and our numerous catering packages for parties and gatherings.

The Curbside Noche Buena/Christmas family-style takeout meal at five Columbia locations feeds 8-10 people for $175 (plus tax) and includes:

▪️Roasted Lechon Asado
▪️”1905” Salad®
▪️Yucca con mojo
▪️Moros y Cristianos
▪️Platanos
▪️La Segunda Central Bakery Cuban bread and butter
▪️Key lime pie

Please Be Kind When You Dine

Like most in the hospitality industry and other businesses – we’re adapting and coping through this crisis.

As much as we wish everything could be the same as it used to be pre-COVID, we know it’s not. We’re experiencing shortages of staff, supplies and time.

We’re working hard to find additional talented team members to cook and serve your food. We’re constantly talking with our vendors to get the supplies we need. We’re balancing demand with supply.

Like you, we want all this to be over.

But it takes more than wishing.

It will take all of us together – along with patience, kindness, understanding and compassion.

So if you see empty tables, that’s usually because we don’t have someone to take the orders.

If we’re not right there as soon as you’re ready, we’ll get to you as quickly as we can.

If it takes a little longer to get your food or drinks, thank you for understanding.

If you don’t see your favorite item on the menu, we’re grateful for your patience.

If a worker’s mood seems a little off, we appreciate your compassion and empathy. Like you, many families are struggling with illness and loss at home.

We want to be your place of refuge from the storm.

Together, We’ll Get Through This
