Kee’s Cookies & Cupcakes will be closed on Saturday, July 18, for a much-needed mini vacation. (Please stop by Friday to stock up on all your favorite treats for the weekend!)

Transparency Matters

Some of you may have seen a post on the Smyrna-Clayton Residents page regarding recent restaurant health inspections. As the owner of Kee’s Cookies & Cupcakes, I believe in being open and transparent with our community, so I’d like to share the facts.

During our inspection, we received three items:

• My Food Safety Manager certification had expired and needed to be renewed.
• Our hot water heater needed to be adjusted to the required temperature.
• The trash can in the employee restroom needed a lid.

I want to reassure everyone that none of these items involved food contamination, unsafe food handling, or the quality and safety of the products we serve. They were administrative and facility-related items, and they were addressed promptly.

Health inspections are an important part of helping businesses stay accountable and continue improving. We welcome that process because providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers and our team has always been one of our highest priorities.

To everyone who continues to support Kee’s Cookies & Cupcakes—thank you. Your trust means everything to me, and I never take it for granted. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebrations, your families, and your community.

💜 An Important Update Regarding Dessert Wars 💜

After much thought and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Dessert Wars.

Unfortunately, we did not receive enough contestant registrations to make the event the exciting experience we envisioned for our community. Since no contestant entry fees were collected, there are no contestant refunds to process. All ticket purchases have been fully refunded.

While we’re disappointed, we believe it’s better to pause than to deliver an event that doesn’t meet the standard of excellence our community deserves.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who showed interest, purchased tickets, shared our posts, and supported the vision behind Dessert Wars. Your encouragement means more than you know.

This isn’t goodbye—it’s simply “see you later.” The Whisk It Up Foundation has many exciting events and programs on the horizon, including our Community Day on August 29, and we hope you’ll continue supporting our mission of serving and uplifting our community.

Today was one for the books! We completed 4 deliveries in 1 day, and every order was delivered, set up, and ready to be enjoyed.
